This year is a wash as far as contending, where it hurts is if there was any possible chance this guy would get dealt is now pretty much out the window.

CSN just showed Zambrano throwing the 1st pitch at 2night's Bandits gm... hours after he shut it down in the 2nd inning at Wrigley..UNREAL

It's a softball field, which means that the throw is shorter, and plus it's not like he's going to toss it at 90+ mph hahaha...making something out of nothing. I'm sure he would've backed out if his doctors told him he needed to take it easy. Would be interesting to see if there's a followup on this one.

Didn't look like he exerted that much energy. He walked off the field on his own power earlier today when he left the game so it's not like he tore a muscle or something. This would probably be post-MRI and looks to be closer to night-time, so he'd have several hours to recuperate plus the doctors' evals, so whatever. Non-story.
