As for tequilas, the bottle doesn't even come close to the bar unless its aged a bare minimum of one year. Generally speaking most of what I have is aged between 1-3 years with a few rare bottles aged 5 or 6 years. Most Americans have no idea what really good tequila tastes like. Basically if you get a hangover from it, you had shit. Or, well, you fucked up and mixed liquors. Nothing can safeguard you against mixing liquors. A hell of a lot low end tequila is pumped full of chemicals and it flat out sucks. I stick to "anejo" or better.
Bit of both really. I am not an alcoholic but I do enjoy a few drinks here and there. The only times I ever really drink to a buzz or to get drunk are on nights before a day off. I don't drink every day though. More like twice a week.

My cousin once had the pleasure of drinking from a tequila maker's 10 year aged personal stash. The stuff was the nectar of the gods. Ridiculously smooth. I mean stupid smooth. I am still jelly I have never had the opportunity to drink anything aged that long, tequila-wise.
