I liked Odunze grabbing that batted ball, but then getting Peanut Punched on the way to the ground, Jenkins falls on it. The NFL is just a wildly unpredictable mess.

There were a handful of asswipes on here ranting how the Bears were being outcoached... laughable shit. The offensive coaching for the Titans was horrible...kept putting their young QB at risk. The Bears people helped keep them in a game that should have been a blowout.

Hoping the kid gets better and figures this shit out.

It's obviously needed a long with the Online improving.

My problem today with him was when he was clean and had a clean pocket, he missed. He didn't look very electric when he tried to extend plays as well. Everything he's ever done in college was electric. But at this level, he just looks meh running for his life. It's obviously game 1, and he's not a bust or something stupid like that.

I expected more though, because that offense was pathetic.

Justin Fields first NFL start he was 6 for 20, 68 yards, sacked 9 times in a blowout loss. Both that game and today the o line was dreadful, this game we actually won. Lets see if they can clean it up next week, my guess is it will be quite a bit better. How could it be worse?

For whatever reason, his throws were way off target today. That isn’t how he has looked previously, but that’s how he has looked in the NFL so far. I‘m hope the team learns from today.

Velus Jones is cursed, absolute bad joo joo with regularity. I’m not sure how we can keep him around. It is lunacy.

He will be inactive next week and probably for most the year. I doubt they cut him. He knows the play book at least.

He had a tough first start. I’m not concerned at all.

His center and right guard were making it tough to step up in the pocket.

He missed Keenan for a TD and Keenan dropped an easy one.

They won the game and Caleb is going to be fine.

Not every team has a terminator like Jeffery Simmons.

It’s easier to make corrections and keep things positive after a win.

I was at Luck’s first start and the Bears picked him three times.

Joe Burrow lost today at home against the Pats. Openers can be tough and hard to predict.
I never said I was concerned with Williams, but he looked shaky when having to keep things in schedule during the preseason, but he made the wow plays so people overlooked it. It was more of the same in game one, but he missed the wow plays this time

That seems to be pretty common among first round QBs to be honest. The speed of the game is something that is almost impossible to replicate in practice due to the controls put in place during that practice. It does seem like a lot of quarterbacks have a deer in the headlights look early on.

I blame this partially on the coaches. It is their job to recognize mismatches and then put a game plan together that exploits what the team can do well while mitigating the damage that can occur from the other team's strengths. It didn't look like the offensive staff took the very strong defensive line of Tennessee (quite possibly the best one the Bears will see all year) or they honestly thought that our o-line could block guys like Simmons and Joseph Day.

I know the Texans are good but I suspect that the Titans will be giving offensive coordinators fits all year. I don't think the Bears will win the game next week but I do think that the offense will at least be marginally better. Lord knows it has to be.

Good teams win games even when they're not at their best. We were far from our best and still got the win, which is awesome. Everyone (including the offense) knows they have to be a lot better so we'll see how they respond.

I love people thinking they need to be critical. I blame the internet, content makers are all jumping the gun doing unboxing reviews to be first so everyone thinks making absolutely worthless content is needed. It's not. A review of packaging means nothing except to the person getting paid .003¢ per click.

Was he inaccurate? Yes. But we know he can be extremely accurate. That just points out how worthless these early assessments are. His inaccuracy today means nothing.
He didn't throw a pick. But that also means nothing.
This whole year really means nothing. Unless he starts being great then we'll all enjoy saying it means he's great but in reality it will mean almost nothing.

Good or bad just enjoy the ride. It was a W whether or not the offense did much to help, just enjoy the ride.

Good points, but you should know by now that the only thing worse than a Bears forum after a loss is a Bears forum after a win.
