Re: Tough commute

Couple of years ago I was on the roof of the Sears with the head of Engineering and my Buddy who's company owned the building at the time. I looked over the side and snapped a picture straight down. Put it on my desk at CDW and co workers would sit there staring at it saying I was nuts.

That said, no FUCKING WAY would I do this! Not to mention my fat ass would have a coronary on the way up and take out the climber below me on my way down.

Re: Tough commute

Another thought comes to mind watching this. The World Trade Center was a couple hundred feet shorter than this but still extremely high up - the video gives a good perspective on what the jumpers were faced with. Imagine yourself in the tower, the flames are closing in and the heat is burning you and you can't breathe. Do you stay and burn to death or do you jump to your death seeing roughly the same view in this video. What would you do? Burn alive or fall for 30 seconds in terrifying fashion and then hit the ground with a thud? Guess I would have jumped as well but you never know unless you're in that situation. I'm terrified of heights so I don't know.

I got woozy the first time he looked down but yeah that was crazy. His pay isn't enough to do that shit, I don't care what he's paid.

While true, I bet their are people out there who would do it for free if you didn't call it work.

Especially if they get to take the alternate route down.
