Hawks played well in Pitts yesterday, hopefully they can end the weekend with a win in regulation.

Go Hawks Go!!!
Yesterday was at least the fifth time they've had a two goal lead and ended up with 1 or 0 points. We need to finish better.

I really thought Stan goofed with the Dach pick... because I knew absolutely nothing about him. I kept thinking we needed Byram.

But wow, the more I see of him, the more I love Dach.

Like Dach, when he fills out a bit he's going to be a handful. Willing to go to the net=greasy goals

I love Dach too, and I like the pick in retrospect. Our D is still a goatse.cx sized hole that needs to be plugged.

Agreed, but I think we've got some good prospects coming through.

I was on the Byram train, but I love the Dach pick.

Watching Dach you can just see that he's going to be a great player for us.

Do my eyes deceive me? Are we carrying the puck into the zone a lot more tonight?

We did last night, and the Canucks game as well. Always felt that we were better at carrying rather than dumping

...anyone else think Austin Matthew's so-called mustache makes him look like he has a plain white van with "FREE KANDY" spray-painted on the side?

He may be but he needs muscle and to become more involved on he boards instead of just poking at the puck. It's Strome's weakness as well but he seem's better than last season.

Thanks Saad...thought sure Lehner would be about 20 more SOG's before this period mercifully ended.

Could not see the previous two contests; family matters overtaking my non-work time over again like last year. Tonight I was able to leave soon enough to watch Chicago take a stunning 3-0 lead before I had to get busy elsewhere.

Tuned back in and I'll be darned if things don't turn into a nail-biter again. Lehner's seen so much rubber even his collarbone had to make a save before Tavares took advantage of a fortuitous second bounce in that sequence.

And now Lehner makes another superb stop w/ 53 seconds left. Only to see his team give up the middle of the ice.

WILL THIS GAME NEVER END? COME ON CHICAGO get it together for 30 seconds.

MY GOD it's finally over. This has been thrilling and also very aggravating. They owe Lehner a HUGE apology.

I love their effort tonight but they just don't have the horses....Toronto is pushing towards 60 shots tonight. Not gonna win a whole lot of games with the only one holding their position is the goalie.
