running the shot clock down to 5 and getting fouled...perfect offense.

good win by the Bulls. Sketchy defense in the 4th, but good win, none-the-less.

Not the best game but played solid enough all around to get the win against a bad team.

Bulls won by 7, lead the whole way and were never really threatened. Yet it feels like they had a weak game. I guess that's a sign of a really good team.

By the way, Derrick Rose - 24 pts, 8 assists, 4 rebounds;
John Wall - 16, 6, and 2!

Yeah, but on 8-20 shooting. :dunno:

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
I had a little too much fun at this one. I disliked how Kirk would turn his back on the fans, every time we tried to give him a standing-O. Butt-hurt? Oh well, that was a bit sad to see from him, and he shouldn't hate on the fans. But all in all, it was nice to see him at the UC again.

Great 2nd half for Rose. This team needs to work on allowing fewer offensive rebounds, but great job at forcing turnovers. Ronnie Brewer looked good in this game.

It bothers me how some people have been saying John Wall is already an exceptional defender. He is an example of why getting steals doesn't always mean a player is a solid defender. Wall will get there in time because he possesses all of the tools to be a good defender. He just needs bulk up a bit and learn his opposition.

After the 1 for 8 start he was 7-12. Who cares. The bottom line is that he was better than Wall and the Bulls won another game. All wins count the same. :shrug:

That inefficiency doesn't bode well. Granted, it's only one game, and he's had to finish more possessions throughout the season (either due to Boozer being out, him wanting to be "the guy" or both) and we should expect his efficiency to go down, but that kind of performance (8-20, which is still 8-20 no matter how you want to look at it) can't happen night-in and night-out. And on Wall: one could make the case that he helped his team more (at least scoring wise) because he was better at turning plays he finished into points, a lot better, in fact.

As I posted at the time, Rose couldn't hit a thing early but the pressure he created got other players looks. They were sending both Hinrich and Wall at him which gave Bogans open threes, and their attempts to deny him the ball left gaps in their defense which we exploited.

Even statistically, 24 points on 20 FGA isn't terrible, and 8 assists vs 3 turnovers is alright too. Rose wasn't at his best but he did a good job running the offense and dealing with the defensive attention thrown at him.

If Rose made just 1 more shot he would have been 9/20 (45%). If we are going to get into a debate about whether or not Rose had a good game then we might as well just kill ourselves.
