11 wins seems reasonable if you're an optimist

teams that won super bowls have failed to go undefeated in the regular season. and I would hardly call them disappointing
17-0 would be disappointing because that means Bears would be pulling a lions by losing to our first playoff opponent.

If you try to include playoffs into that record, then ending the entire season as 17-0 including playoffs would mean they somehow missed the playoffs. Otherwise your scenario is 17-1.

Now watch the Bears pull some crazy feat by finding a way to go 0-0-17. That honestly be amazing in the most frustrating way possible.

I'm not about to talk down to listening to a good interview.
I know there are reasons TikTok is not your thing but I enjoy going down the worm hole of fantastic sports stories baseball football whatever. Pete Rose and Nolan Ryan having a conversation about the times they faced each other. Peyton Manning on Ray Lewis or Ed Reed, Bill Belichick on Ed Reed. Some of them make fun of being the old dude on TikTok but I'll take it and go watch more of the greats talking about their favorite memories from the game.

I feel confident that I will be pissing on your grave long before you have the chance to return the favor
Shut up you stupid fair weather fan. You've got absolutely no credibility to have been a Bears fan and then come in here being a fake Lions fan.

The Bears won 5 games and lost 7 games by one score or less with a rookie QB and a horrible coach a coach that was comically bad at in game coaching. It's not a stretch to believe that they can change that with a competent offensive scheme and coach and a defensive coordinator who will get more out of his players than Eric Washington did.

Caleb didn't have a ton turnovers and was dynamic in the red zone when the Bears actually got to the red zone. They can cut down on the sacks Caleb is responsible for and compete from there.

All that being said they probably have the worst roster in the North talent wise and rarely does a team flip their one score loss totals in the opposite direction in one year.

They couldn't stop the run last year they don't have much real talent on defense at all. Their pass rush is god awful, Montez Sweat is the most overrated overpaid player in the NFL. Plus the schedule is way harder.

Awful pass rush somehow was still 7th in the nfl in pressure percentage. Weird. I know all you care about is sacks, which they were still average at(16th). Their pass rush was not elite but it was solid last year compared to other teams and they added 3 pieces to it this year.

Montez Sweat was 5th in pressures in 2023, if he played the same # of snaps this year(even while injured) he would have been 5th in pressures. He's only an overrated player to the morons who only watch the box score.

I know your brain only comprehends sacks, but pressures matter a fuckton. Hutch is known for this too, and would get a ton of pressure on the QB but maybe not always finish prior to this year past year. Pressures force incompletions, interceptions, etc. Are they as good as sacks? Nope, but they can kill drives the same.

Didn’t Dayo also have a decent amount of pressures last year, despite a low sack number? Probably why some didn’t like that signing.

The 25-year-old has played in 61 games with 19 starts, totaling 106 combined tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 16.5 sacks, and five forced fumbles. In 2024, he recorded 42 pressures – just five fewer than Rashan Gary, who led the Packers.

Yes, yes he did. The bears are banking on the high upside.

Pressures till matter, particularly when you have a very good secondary like the bears do. I'd love to see those become sacks but the major problem the bears have had the last few years is that when a pressure does occur the QB either steps up or escapes the pocket as the other DE doesnt pressure or contain. Hopefully that is fixed this year

Our biggest issue on the DL last year was that the guy opposite sweat(and even sweat at times) did not keep contain in the run game. Taylor/Booker were both very bad at it. Booker as a whole was pretty bad as a rookie but I still have faith he can turn into something considering he was sold as raw coming out of college. Our run D was bad before billings even went down due to the edges

With the franchise being four offseasons into a rebuild with all of its first, second, & third round picks in tact with every draft, and plenty of money to throw around in free agency, anything less than a winning record and a WC is abysmal failure.

New coaching staff or not.

I believe another team was high in pressures and only had 1 more sack than the Bears.................The Philadelphia Eagles.

Eagles were actually tied for 4th worst pressure # in the entire NFL and their pressure rate was not very good.

Why i think that team is in for a massive dropoff. Losing Milton and sweat will be huge, now carter is by far the main man on that line.

Just goes to show you how matchups matter in the NFL. Bears had a better pass rush during the regular season than the eagles, but dont tell that to a moron like donut dan.

Obviously pass rush is not the end all be all. Eagles were still 3rd in EPA/play and highest success rate, in large part to their run defense.

Bears on the other hand had the 13th EPA/play on defense and 26th against the run but were a top 10 pass defense. This defense will be fine and worst case scenario will be in the 10-15 range, but im expecting top 10

I dunno, if you take the snaps in which he gets credited for a pressure and the play ends either as an incompletion, turnover, or a gain that doesn't result in a first down and the clock continues to run during the 4th quarter, we really gonna care?
