Our coaching staff has more work to do than anyone else. Q, you are brutal.

I've got no answers here. We are just finding ways to lose. Eight losses when tied or winning going into the third. We are 5-8 in one goal games. We have five goals in the last three games, and all of them have come from bottom six players. Not a single goal from ANY of our regulars from last year in the last three losses. Yikes.

Looks like I picked the right season to tell Center Ice to fuck off.

JACK SKILLE SUX

Yeah, the fact that he was once again our best forward, and only received 11:48 of icetime, has to say something about the coaching decisions. Stalberg was our other goal scorer tonight, and Q limited him to 8:41 of icetime. What??????? Holy fuck. Get your head out of your fucking ass Joel. I don't understand this team right now, or the decisions being made as far as lines and icetime are concerned.

Toews, Kane, Sharp, all with more than five minutes of PP time, and not a single fucking point to show for it? Kopecky on the PP needs to end, as does Brouwer. Reward the guys that are actually earning it.

1) Skille has been the best Hawks the last little while. Q use him.

2) Q Stop using Kane on the LW

3) Where did the PP go? Not converting on a 5 on 3 will always kill you in a close game.

4) Nice game Hammer. You will feel those bruises in the morning.

5) Nice game Turco. Too bad the top players in front of you aren't helping out.

6) Nice game Stalberg.

7) Regardless of the bouncing line our stars are not playing like stars. Lots of teams out there that bounce lines and their star players can handle it. What the fuck is wrong with our guys? Given Kane shouldn't be playing LW but still you are paid to be stars play like them. The line bouncing certainly isn't cool but it can't explain off everything. Top lines have too much talent to be thwarted by line juggling this much.

8) Im not happy about a single point. Screw that noise. Another game where the Hawks could have and should have won but couldn't get the job done.

Where are you getting these stats? I like them. Or did you do them manually?

I thought the Hawks were lucky to get a point in the end. They could barely get the puck out of their own zone in the third period, let alone gain the red line or generate any offense. A slightly better team than Nashville would have finished off the Hawks well before the clock struck 20:00.

It's been mentioned, but it bares mentioning again. The top two forward lines were abysmally put together and played accordingly. Hossa and Kane have never, ever displayed any chemistry whatsoever, so what on earth makes Quenneville think it's going to happen now? By centering them with offensive juggernaut Dave Bolland? Puh-lease. Just a dreadful combination, asking for trouble.

Sharp-Toews-Brouwer should be a decent line in theory, but offensively, Toews makes me wonder if Arkhipov has sneaked back into the lineup. He looks about as threatening as ol' Dennis at even strength. In just over two seasons' time, his goalscoring at even strength has gone from 22 to 15 to 2 (on pace for about 8). This was already the 11th time in just 19 games that he's gone pointless.

On the bright side, it was nice to see Skille finally get a couple of goals and Stalberg and Dowell both continue to contribute. Other than that, though, more mind-numbing mediocrity from the reigning champs...

I pulled them from nhl.com. They don't list them together, but I figured it would be interesting to see how badly our top guns are performing(or underperforming?). That's why I included the ES TOI. The difference in icetime is massive. Yet, the "replacement players", that are supposedly not as good as the guys we let go, are matching, and in many cases outperforming, our big contract guys. The fact that Stalberg has as many ES goals as Kane and Toews combined, is pathetic. The fact that our fourth line is matching our first line's ES production, is pathetic. The fact that Toews leads the team in ES TOI for forwards, yet, only has two goals, is, once again, pathetic. He has less goals at ES than fucking Dowell. Oh, and the numbers for Sharp and Hossa are deceptive, since most of those goals came in the first few games.

Brouwer, Kopecky, both guys that have seen quite a bit of top-six time, yet, they have one goal to show for it, matching Pisani. Pisani, who has played third and fourth line minutes most of the year, and not a lot of them. It really puts it into perspective and shows what is killing us. I didn't include the defense either, who have chipped in a TOTAL of three even strength goals. They're not contributing either.

Is the TOI all of it or just even strength?
