Jon Claude Van Dam was traded from the Penguins to Vancouver...he is going to start since his record against us in the 92 finals was good.

Schneider is on my fantasy team, so I predict Hawks win 1-0....

Seabs balls are so huge, no normal cup could protect them..... it's no surprise he got them crushed by that shot...

Crawford obviously has a concussion. This day-to-day thing really sucks to hear... Montador was day-to-day for like 2 months before shutting him down.

tsn reported him having a concussion about 3 days ago. not sure where they got that info or if its right but they reported it regardless.

dont shoot the messanger.

I thought Seabs didn't wear a cup... because he has balls of steel. He's just taking the day off to reflect on how epic his balls are, and getting a full-on BJ.

One thing that concerns me a bit is that Keith's minutes have been inching upward....I hope that's a trend that levels off or goes back down after Seabs returns...

Candidly, I like that Crow and Seabs are out. With the team clicking as well as they are, some shake up in the D and Net is a good challenge to gauge where the squad as a whole is at. Keith will have some increased minutes, sure, but he is at what, about 25 min? That is not a huge deal for Keith. With Hjammer and OhDidJa playing so well and chewing solid minutes, it will be good to see the D without a 1/2 dman.

Record is cool and all, but with Hawks crushing the division, it will be good to see some challenges to the depth.

increasing team pp minutes im sure has much to do with keiths minutes rising. im not sure why its a concern anyways. duncs can manage and likes the minutes. ive never understood why some get concerned. guys a poster boy for stamina and being in shape for the minutes he plays. hes gone on record millions of times stating he likes the big minutes wants them and thinks it helps his game.

ive personally never been in the camp that thought his minutes should be cut or had any negative impact on his game or the team. ive always thought opposite. now if we are talking about keith shooting into guys shins on the pp constantly then we have a discussion.

Yeah, but this season is different, TCD....more games in fewer days....want the guys to be as fresh as possible for the deep playoff run.

We get concerned because we care...because we care.

But really, there a feeling that his play was hurt by his gargantuan TOI night in and night out for 82 games. Not to mention deep playoff runs. We all know Keith is the biggest freak on earth and murders that test, but his play this season has definitely been on the up and up, and looking at the TOI its easy to deduct thats why. At least thats what I see being put together by everyone.

When Keith won the Norris he was averaging over 26 minutes a game. This year he is barely over 24 minutes. The last two years he was over 26 minutes, so realistically I can't see any correlation to that. He's just playing better this year, simple as that... no rhyme or reason. The minutes don't matter.

One could argue that with the Olympics, two deep playoff runs, basically no off-season the year of the Cup victory that maybe the stamina was much different.

Bob McKenzie is a damn fine reason to visit TSN, best hockey writer around

I follow him on Twitter and watch him on NHLN usually, so I'm cool with that for now. I like him too.
