the bulls had better depth. the bulls team of rose and gordon and hinrich had the best backcourt that year. our front court court. so did theirs. scalabrine was their third bigman. it was a pretty good match up for us. If we had a coach who knew how to get thigns done, we ought to have won that series. for the most part we were just a 1 or 2 bad possessions from winning those games, so was boston

it wasn't like their stars were absolutely killing us. ray allen sucked in game 1. he was amazing in game 2. he hit some clutch shots, but he wasn't a thousand times better than gordon and hinrich and salmons. Paul pierce was better than salmons, but salmons kept the matchup within bounds. tim thomas sucked..

pg and center.

rose + hinrich > rondo + marbury/house

miller and noah were better than perkins and no one.

The MVP of that series was Rondo, so how were Rose and Hinrich better? Allen scored almost 50 points in one of those games. Gordon was good but was also injured in that series. So was Salmons. And who the heck is "no one"? Davis scored 18ppg that series...who in the Bulls front court matched that production?

he scored 30. gordon scored 50.

Would you do some damn research before you say some of this crap? For crying out loud...its like you don't care about facts. And who gives a damn how tall Davis is? He was the starting power forward and he averaged almost 20ppg!

also he took 10 more shots than anyone else in that game. 18-32 in nearly 60 minutes of play. i'm not saying allen isn't better than gordon and hinrich. he is. it's just that they didn't blow us away with their talent. it was a scrappy series that had more effort, heart, and good basketballl. the celtics didn't sit down and play crappy basketball. the bulls took it too them.

Who said they blew them away with their talent? The Celtics did not play up to their capabilities is what I said...and scorers tend to take more shots than other players on the court...why does that shock you? He had the hot hand so they gave him the ball, what is the big deal?

No you did not say that Allen isn't better...you said the talent was equal...and I say bullshit! The Celtics had the advantage at damn near every position on the court in that series. The Celtics were the better team, they were not lucky to win that series...

LOL. As if Allen shooting 10 more times is an issue. The guy hit over 50% of his shots. It's not like he scored 50 on 25% shooting. Allen was able to shoot that much because he's really fucking good and Gordon sucks on defense.

STFU and quit posting.

This epic series brought me to have faith in Joakim Noah more than anything. I actually started to like the guy more after the series. I mean, I have always respected his talent....but I never liked him as a person. I didn't like him whatsoever when he was at Florida  ....so in essence.....I became a Noah fan from that point forward after the Celtics series. I really started to see that he wasn't that difficult of a person to be a fan of.

Odd. He played over 30 minutes.
he was in foul trouble ass hat.
Connect the dots Einstein.

Gordon "only" played 30 minutes and was in foul trouble because he couldn't check Allen and was fouling him.

You act as though Gordon's defensive short comings are news to you.

Not only that nothing you posted disproved or was a rebuttle to what I posted.

Allen shot well in Game 6.

Gordon sucks on defense.

You telling me Gordon "didn't play" in Gmae 6..even though he did..and that he was in foul trouble...doesn't matter.

I agree wholeheartedly. He went head up against a pretty tough player in Perkins and held his own. That was when I started to believe he could be a player if he continued to improve...and he has continued. It was definitely Noah's coming out party...and that is what the playoffs are for, especially when you are on the level the Bulls were on at that time. Rose was going to be pretty good was another observation I made...he could be great if he got a jumper. The fact that he scored that 36 by beating guys to the basket is unbelievable. He was only a fraction of what he could be. Yet he has surpassed my expectations. It is all about perspective, and I think the most important thing that series did was show Noah and Rose where they were and where they truly could be on a really big stage.

I wonder with KG out, would it have been enough for us to have a healthy Luol Deng to win the series?

I really started to have faith in Noah after we brought in Brad Miller. I think Brad did wonders on mentoring Noah. I think Noah already had that high basketball IQ inside of him, Brad just found a way to tap into it. I really loved that high-low game between them last season during their time together on the court.

I never thought id be a Noah fan. It took a year and a half but im glad he's on our side.

Miller was a good mentor for someone like Noah to learn from. After Miller left his first run-thru with the Bulls he went on to play very well with the Kings in his career. He benefited well from that.

noah wasn't terrible his rookie year. Maybe i was far more optimistic about what noah could be than the rest of you guys. When i learned that VDN wanted to start tyrus and gooden instead of noah, i was a bit befuddled. Admittedly, i didn't think noah would be as good as he is now, but i always liked the guy.
