Boozer is the new Luol Deng on this team. Luol is the new stud.
Pretty much. Except I still don't consider Deng a stud. The fact that he played in every game and over 43+ minutes a game (probably not exactly what it was, but he played over that most of the time anyway) at that is extremely impressive for one who we all complained was soft and injury prone. I'd still like to see a good portion of his minutes cut (down to about 36 or less) if nothing more than to preserve him. As for Boozer...we all knew what we were getting when we signed him, whether we wanted him or not. He's going to have his fair share of injuries, which we can't blame him for since no player ever tries to get injured in a game. When Boozer is on his game, he's a 20/10 guy. Problem is, he was never on his game except for a small portion of the season. Until he has a Luol Deng season where he's playing far above the number of games we would expect and providing consistent production, I think fans are just going to rip on him no matter what he does.

Well when Boozer first came back from his injury Rose and the team made sure to get Boozer involved offensively. He was like the new toy that everybody wanted to play with. But after he sprained his ankle the first time, he rarely got involved in the offense.

During the playoffs, to me the only game where people got on him and it was justified was one game against the pacers where he went 4-17, that was a bad game. But to criticize him for going 1-6 when he was getting the ball out of at the end of shot clocks. He didn't get involved offensively that much.

Rose and him barely ran the pick and roll anymore and they barely fed the ball in the post. Boozer was pretty much getting putbacks more than post up shots. I really noticed the second team involve him, but Rose and Deng pretty much hogged Boozer out since the end of January.

Exactly...it was a conspiracy against Boozer....his teammates hated him, but his boy Deron Williams was traded from Utah because Utah wasn't the same without the MVP Boozer....Boozer got robbed.

That 2nd ankle injury against the Bobcats and the turf toe didn't help his situation either.

As far as getting the ball, I thought that they never gave Booz the ball back especially after the re-post. After a double would come and Booz would pass back out, Rose and the other guards didn't consistently try to get the ball back to him. Just my two cents, and if this season ever starts I hope he and Rose have better chemistry offensively.

Thank you kind sir....this is what I was talking about...the hatred by the refs...and by D Rose on Boozer prevented him from getting the MVP. Boozer was robbed and fans begin to realize that now.
