I know it's all time to be shiny, happy, jolly, and positive, but I'm seeing/hearing a lot of stuff that this guy projects as a reliever. Wasteful 1st if so.

He's only 21 so he has enough time to develop his slider, but if not, he looks to be our closer of the future.

Plus his curve is pretty good, especially to lefties. I think he could potentially be on the fast track to the majors, being up here by 2012.

Hopefully he'll develop/learn current pitches and new pitches, and the sox will probably teach him a cutter, as they always seem to do with lefties.

Anyway, drafting a future closer in the 1st round is moronic.

I like what we have done in the draft so far. A lot of pitching, and not a lot of high school guys.
