Several candidates. Just wanting to get a general feel of how the board is leaning.
Ryne Sandberg -- The dude has worked his way through the farm and several think he's 1st in line to get the gig as Cubs Skipper.
Alan Trammel -- The bench coach has a history as a coach and with the team.
Bob Brenly -- The color guy has a WS ring to his credit and has reportedly said he would love the opportunity if the Cubs come calling.
Joe Torre -- The possibilities of him not with the Dodgers next year grow, and several think he should be the front-runner for the Cubs job if he doesn't return to the Dodgers next season.
Bobby Valentine -- Have heard recently that he may be one of the interviews. He's an intriguing option.
Tony LaRussa -- Heard on SportsCenter earlier that his contract is up after this season and the Cubs could offer him more than the Cards.
Fredi Gonzalez -- The former Marlins manager will be an interview for the Cubs according to ESPN during Wed Nights Reds/Nats game.
Thoughts? Who do you want to manage them? Who DON'T you want to manage them? Who do you think will do the best job? Any darkhorses in this race?
