i think they will, and it wont surprise me if they bounced early, not first round, hopefully

it is all just a crapshoot once playoffs roll around. you can have it where the best teams in the league advance far like how it was pens and wings for a couple years.... or it can be like last year in having Philly and Montreal both get far. If you get a hot goalie, he can carry the series, or someone unexpected stepping up with the spotlight shining on them. All I really care is if they get in the playoffs as after that you never know.
Philly wasn't a true 8th seed (based on talent) who squeaked into the playoffs. The dealt with a shit ton of injuries last year, which cost them a shit ton of standings points. Montreal is a better option to make your point that the playoffs can be a crap shoot.
While you're dead on about how a goalie can get hot and be a monster difference maker, so can match-ups and adjustments.
I'm just being completely anal, but Philly wasn't the 8 seed last year, Montreal was. Philly was 7. And your other points were completely valid. Philly was injured and Montreal had a goalie stand on his head.. and I loved them beating the Capitals last year... Good stuff![]()
