At least we can say this season wasn't a complete disappointment if we can just make it in.

I think they could take down Detroit or San Jose but I can't see the Vancouver 3peat

Likely no Bolland to slap up the Sedins and no Buff to make Luongo cry this time around.

Thats a great point about beating Vancouver 3x in a row, and this years team was looking like a disspointment, post allstar break, but i would have really considered it a dissapointment, if we dont make the playoffs

it is all just a crapshoot once playoffs roll around. you can have it where the best teams in the league advance far like how it was pens and wings for a couple years.... or it can be like last year in having Philly and Montreal both get far. If you get a hot goalie, he can carry the series, or someone unexpected stepping up with the spotlight shining on them. All I really care is if they get in the playoffs as after that you never know.

Philly wasn't a true 8th seed (based on talent) who squeaked into the playoffs. The dealt with a shit ton of injuries last year, which cost them a shit ton of standings points. Montreal is a better option to make your point that the playoffs can be a crap shoot.

While you're dead on about how a goalie can get hot and be a monster difference maker, so can match-ups and adjustments.

I'm just being completely anal, but Philly wasn't the 8 seed last year, Montreal was. Philly was 7. And your other points were completely valid. Philly was injured and Montreal had a goalie stand on his head.. and I loved them beating the Capitals last year... Good stuff :)

Were they? Brain cramp. Thanks for the correction. For some reason I thought they were the team who squeaked in on the last day due to a Rags loss on the last day of the season.

I want to believe that they can beat Vancouver again if they do end up playing them, but I truly think Vancouver is a much better team than last year. The Hawks are worse. I don't think they have the depth like they had the past 2 years to beat them again.

I am hoping for a Detroit first round. We are very good against them this season.

I want Vancouver...If we lose, oh well, we lost to the presidents trophy winner.
if we win, 3 straight years of luongo crying and another year off of the Sedin's careers without a cup. lol
