Old goaltender with maybe one year left in him that won't come very cheap? I'd rather not. Sure, he might be a good mentor for Crawford, but it's not worth the money. Get a young goalie like Bernier or spend the money on D-man and some forwards.

It's also possibly a 2 year deal to a guy who will retire.

And I'd rather they spend the money on a contract to a guy that will do something. Crawford is a good enough goalie as long as the D doesn't suck ass like it did last year. He had a bad year and needs confidence in him going forward.

Use cap space to get D-man an forwards.
