This. They need to do away with it because the star layers aren't getting in it and its all about gimmicks now more than ever.

Jeremy Evans is relevant for one night. Tomorrow he'll go back to being known as "Who?".

Wow that was bad. There was no life or excitement in it. The way the dunk contest voting was done was really stupid too. I predicted Tony Parker winning the skills challenge, but I was wrong on my other picks(Mario Chalmers and Paul George). Derrick Williams off the side of the backboard and Jeremy Evan's double dunk were really impressive, but outside of that, I was waiting for the thing to be over.

I loved when D-Wade's son was randomly hanging around the broadcast table right before they introduced the dunk contestants and Barkley said "America has a better chance of recognizing Wade's son than these contestants anyway"

I was pretty disappointed with the dunk contest :smh: and in case you couldn't tell, Budinger could see out the bottom of his blind fold so he knew where to jump fom

Though George should've won, but the contest was terrible nevertheless.

Post lockout All-Star Weekends. Yes, they suck.

But I try to optimistic. This year's turd will put pressure on the planners to make next year's weekend a bit better. Then the players will recognize the accolade of the weekend again, and two years down the line, it will be excellent. Then it goes to shit again, and we see the same cycle start, but it wont be as bad until another lockout season.

I believe that the dunk contest is difficult to be interesting anymore. So many years they have done everything many times.Unless there is someone to jump from the 3pt line and dunk everything else would be boring.

People don't believe me when I tell them that the best dunkers aren't even good enough players to be in the NBA for the most part.

And even the best dunkers in the NBA don't even go to the Slam Dunk Contest.
