i'm messin 85

miles is an athletic freak and a great rebounder

that's what i can say

Miles is awful uncoordinated and got eaten alive by Matt Howard that should tell you all you need to know. He doesnt play like a freak athlete on tape. He really has no NBA skill outside of ok rebounder. He wont be in the NBA in 5 years. I had him undrafted.

He is suppose to be the backup 5 right away but I feel people in camp will out play him sucks he has a guaranteed contract hope I eat crow but I cant stand the guys game.

You know a player is bad when your Duke friends call you and rag on you because your favorite team took Plumlee

I watched 25+ games of his career not a NBA player IMO

Orlando Johnson on the other hand I love that pick kid can play scouted him and had him as a early 20s pick. He is gonna surprise a lot of people he is the Pacers best scorer off the dribble and a hell of a shooter along with having a hell of a work ethic. Really a skill set the Pacers really have lacked for ages and he defends to go along with his versatile offensive game his skill set is really unique.

I watched probably 20 UK games last year. Teague's damn fast, and he can distribute...but his defense is meh, and he's turnover prone.

His defense is meh but the tools are there he just needs to be taugh. Coming from someone who hated the kids game in HS great pick. You wont believe the strides he made from HS to the end of his season last year. Coach Cal really helped him mature as a man and a player. He is still a few years away from being great but I had him as my #2 ranked pg after Lillard great value at #29 shocked he was there.

if you don't think he's a freak athlete....then i don't know what to tell you

looking at one game to dictate to make a generalization about a player=lol

he's a very good rebounder, especially on the offensive board

if you watch the duke tape, you underrate plumlee a little because duke was very perimeter oriented with kelly, rivers, dawkins, curry

he's a backup 5 or a 4.....

he's going to be playing a similar role in the NBA that he played at Duke....

he has good height and is a good defender

the issue for me is coordination and catching the ball, he also needs to work on polishing his offensive game

all in all, yes 26 is pretty damn early

but maybe he'll be better than you think....who knows though

I didnt make it on 1 game i watched him 25+ times. I just find it funny he is a dirty worker but is soft and uncoordinated and was man handled in most games I watched Leigh tere him up in PnR game pretty embarrassing he made CJ Mccollum look like Russ Westbrook .

He doesnt play like a freak athlete I was shocked at the combine he tested so well on tape he isnt near that explosive.

He wont last in the NBA in the rotation as a end of the bench 7fter sure.

not what i was referring to...you cited one game to back up your claim....

a.McCollum is a very very good slasher and scorer overall

b. he definitely looked like westbrook, because he was like 6-20

c.you are using a game to make a generalization again...this is like the paragon example

He doesnt play like a freak athlete I was shocked at the combine he tested so well on tape he isnt near that explosive.
uh yes he does lol....

if you're shocked he tested so well, then clearly you didn't watch him play

maybe,maybe not...who knows?

there are alot of pretty bad 7 footers that somehow stick

Of course he looks athletic but he doesnt play that way. He plays like he is thinking is what I am trying to say I rarely said holy shit that dude is a freak except how he could run the floor. On tape he just doesnt look the part of an athletic freak like he should.

Of course some Dukie hoomers will defend the pick. Plumlee shouldnt even of got off the bench at Duke he really was awful in almost every game I have see.

If he wouldnt of went to that prep school in Carolina bulit for basketball showcasing he probably int even a top recruit.

When you are benched for Ryan Kelly time after time I just dont get it how he can play over NBA talents.

A. he doesn't look THAT athletic

B. he definitely does play like that:both Mason and Miles were above the rim post players

He plays like he is thinking is what I am trying to say I rarely said holy shit that dude is a freak except how he could run the floor. On tape he just doesnt look the part of an athletic freak like he should.

LMFAO...

hard for him to get more touches when you have 4 scorers on the perimeter that average double digits and one in the post that averages double digits

there were times where miles easily played like the best player we have, the issue is his coordination and catching the ball

if he got more touches, he would look better, but that's not what duke was going to run

.i'm defending the fact that the dude is a freak athlete and a good rebounder more than the pick itself, because that's what he fucking is...

in reality, the way duke handled miles is similar to the way that he will handled in the NBA

also what's a "hoomer"?

When you are benched for Ryan Kelly I just dont get it.
A.he started 16 games

B.Ryan Kelly is a very good player....

ryan kelly is a stretch 4 who spreads out the defense so duke can work inside the arc and overall have a better flowing offense

part of the reason we lost to lehigh was because we didn't have kelly spreading the floor so our offense looks like dick

also,an ok rebounder? he averaged 7 rebounds per game in 20 minutes

i really, really, really don't think you watched duke last year

Just a couple things, I watched all three Plumlee's play high school ball at Christ School here in town. Neither of the older two brothers are true 7 footers, the youngest is (red shirted last year). Miles is 6'10"ish. They're athletic, can play D against post players not slashing driving players (slow feet). He's a big bodied individual and I can see him playing a role at the NBA level. He has skills. One particular game, Christ School was having issues bringing the ball up the court vs. some strong fast guards, Miles switched to point and brought the ball up the court every time, and didn't turn it over once. Of the 3 Plumlee brothers, he is the most versatile.
