It's draft week! Let's hope we can get a steal this year in it.

Spent a little time in a draft room this past week. Now, I can't repeat anything that went on in there obviously, but I can say this draft should be exciting compared to past as it's a deeper draft (esp for Americans, International is real weak). The wildcard is Charlotte since no one really knows wtf they're going to do (not even Charlotte people imo).

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
So many people have us taking Will Barton. He's going to be serviceable, but I do not want him. He can fit a number of teams, he can do better on other roster configurations, and he might pan out with his career. Just not in Chicago, not on this team. I think we would be throwing our pick away. And so many people have Wroten going 1-4 slots after our pick. Man, Wroten would be such a good fit. He's not just a poor mans Tyreke Evans, I think he could be a Tyreke, AND do more on defense. So much more upside with Wroten than Barton.

I really like Wroten too. I prefer him over Barton. I stumbled upon this on youtube last night...

Vin Parise: According to league sources, the Chicago Bulls are drafting Tyshawn Taylor from Kansas tonight with the 29th pick -- backup for Derrick Rose

Unsure of validity of this tweet, since Bulls FO rarely ever shows their hand.

KC is reporting it too, so there must be some truth to this. We should expect to hear Taylor's name called 29th.

good pick if they ddo take Taylor elite athlete and makes amazing plays just makes stupid plays at times. I could live with him if I would coach cause he reallly defends and on offense he has a great skill set.

I dont know if Thibs will like him could see him in Thibbs dog house.

I'd have to think that by this point Thibs is in the decision-making process.

According to Chad Ford:

Will Barton
Position: SG
Height: 6-foot-6
Weight: 174 pounds
Age: 21
School: Memphis

Analysis: The Bulls are looking at a number of 2-guard options here, but Barton has separated himself from the pack in the past few weeks. He's a terrific scorer and can shoot with range. He just needs to add strength.

Trade Scenarios: The Bulls have been actively trying to move up, but have had no luck so far.

Bulls' Big Board: (team priorities, according to sources)
1. Will Barton
2. Doron Lamb
3. Tyshawn Taylor
4. John Jenkins

This is why I'm surprised there are reports Taylor is the one. All week it's been either Barton or Lamb, both of which I would rather have than Taylor, but I don't think Taylor will be an awful pick either.

If true.

:obama:

Typical Pax era pick though. 3-4 year player at a big time school.

Taylor isnt the typical 4 year guy he was a top rated HS recruit who just took longer to develop mainly due to immaturity. He has the tools of a 1 and done player he just needed to mature and now needs to play smarter at the next level.

On Will Barton I want him for my Pacers dude is a killer.

Herp derp...

You could say the same thing about pretty much any 3-4 year guy from a big program.
