I miss Ladd.

Everyone else was replaceable.

I know it is crazy talk but I would still trade hossa, a pick, and a prospect for Buff and Ladd. Buff has size, skill, hands, and a strong shot. Getting all of those attributes in one player is rare (He isn't without his flaws though). And Ladd, Ladd is the quintessential 3rd line player. The guy is full of grit, has some good hockey smarts, will score a few goals here and there.

I loved Playoff Buff, but he took way too many nights off. I'm starting to think we have a pocket Buff in Andrew Shaw.

Shaw is such a unique mix, I don't think you can compare him to one player. I've tried, and always seem to change my opinion game-by-game.

he kind of reminds me of a young Theo Fleury with the size to fear ratio.

He does definitely seem "old school" to me.

When he sent a guy as tall as Chara on a stretcher in Prospects Camp and stood up for himself there, that won me over immediately. I knew right then and there that the kid was going to be special... Didn't expect "cult status" so quickly, though. I couldn't be more proud of him.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Considering that Konroyd already did a "Shawshank redemption" comment on a broadcast, it's not surprising.

Too many aspects to compare him to any one player, but the one that sticks out is he has Ladd-like aspects, which we've sorely needed.
