Apparently Kmart announced that they will open at 6AM on Thanksgiving and stay open for 41 hours straight. So now a bunch of stupid people got pissed and are planning to boycott the store. I sure hope they boycott the 100's of other stores that will be open that day as well.
Some stores that will be open on Thanksgiving in my town just off the top of my head, 24-hour CVS, 24-hour Walgreens, Family Video, Wal-Mart, Mobil gas stations, Denny's. That's not even mentioning the usual places that are open 24/7/365 like hotels, motels, hospitals, police and fire departments, etc... I'm pretty sure the first 3 I mentioned are open on Christmas as well.
I worked at a CVS on Christmas Day once when I was a teenager. It sucked because we were PACKED. I was amazed at how many people decided they needed some random crap that just couldn't wait until the next day.
Now I get holidays off but I don't get paid for them.

And Old Navy announces they will be open from 9am to 4pm Thanksgiving, then re-open at 7 pm Thanksgiving Night until Midnight Black Friday (29 Hours)

Meh, I stopped going shopping on bf a few years ago. had a friend that stayed overnight outside of Walmart for a TV. A week later the same TV was on amazon. No tax, same price, and free white glove delivery.

That 70 inch led smart tv for $988 is gonna be mine. I got the 60 inch for $688 last year and love it. Now I can take the 60 to my man cave for video games and whatnot and put the 70 in the living room. Should be good on tvs for a long time after that.
