Sharp finally with a night worthy of praise. Would be nice for him to start scoring goals, but that pass to Kane on the 2nd 5-on-3 was a beauty.

I am not a hockey guy through and through, but I watch a couple dozen games a year around the league, and will follow the blackhawks when on tv as I live west coast.

But Bickell seems to have really developed into a force, and its great to have growth from the farm that adds toughness and size to our skill. I like what I see and his improvement deserves praise if not his play.

Agreed. Amazing what playing in a contract year can for a player, eh? Same goes for Stalberg.

Gotta say that one of the biggest reasons this team is this much better from last year , is the way Shaw , Kruger , Leddy , Bickell , Saad , Stalberg , Crawford + Emery have improved . You think you might see small improvement out of a couple , but for all of them to improve this much at the same time is amazing . Add in a solid Roszival and now you have a team that doesn't have one true weak link anywhere .

Shaw has been a gritty little friggin bulldog . The way Leddy has been carrying the puck up the ice has been a revelation . Stally is getting a little more dangerous with each game . Saad has played well and doesn't look out of place . Bicks passing has been excellent & the goaltending has been much better than expected .

I waited .... I didn't want to jump the gun ..... but for the first time this season ( when Shaw tipped Seabrooks shot in ) that 2010 "feeling" went through me .

This team is the real deal .

Time for people to start giving my guy Kruger some props.

Guy is slowly coming together offensively.

He is playing well. That goal Carcillo scored last night was the product of Kruger's hard work to win the puck to Stalberg, which started the flurry of chances that resulted in a goal.

One day he'll grow up and become Dave Bolland. :troll:

Patrick Sharp is really missing, despite not having his best year on the score sheet.

With this team it really is mind blowing though. Reminds me of the Penguins and Red Wings circa 2008 when they take the ice, it feels like a squad of all-stars and it allows them to play at another level of skill from the rest of the league, with speed and great passing. Then you have two superstars.

Starting to think that the Blackhawks way want to hang on to Viktor Stalberg in this offseason, even if it costs a few million.

He's been using his speed as an incredibly effective weapon this year. Three of the goals scored last night were the direct result of Stalberg using his speed to wreak havoc in the other team's zone.

One of the biggest reasons for the success of that Shaw/Bickell/Stalberg line is the ability of Shaw/Bickell to dump the puck and then Stalberg's ability to use his speed to get to the puck, win a board battle (**** your Zs), and get that line possession in the offensive zone. I have no numbers to quantify this claim, but watch this line work and it happens a ton, I promise you.

If Stalberg asks for an absurd amount of money then, yeah, the Hawks will have to let him walk. But if his cap hit stays reasonable, I'd really like to watch him continue to develop as a member of this franchise.

Brandon Bollig.

I used to cringe every time I saw his name in the lineup, but he hasn't been all that bad in the past few games. Pat and Edzo referenced it in a broadcast so I watched him a bit closer in the last 2-3 games. He's making smart little passes with the puck instead of turning it over under pressure and seems to be moving around the ice a lot better lately.

Can't say this enough, but even if Hossa and Sharp aren't the stat sheet, they are among the best two-way forwards in the game period. Two great players that I'm glad Bowman has kept around.

At first I took this to be a trolling attempt because they're currently out with injury hahahaha

same here.

gotta praise the coaching staff. they are getting left out of a lot of the discussion as to why we are as good as we are.
