2014 Edition: What Did you Give/Receive for Christmas?

All the kids are into Frozen this year, so I've been getting Frozen dolls. Those things have been flying off the shelves, apparently. Also got a bunch of Amazon gift cards to hand out.

My brother in law loves scotch, but I'm not sure which brand he likes. I was going to get him a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue label, but can any of you scotch drinkers recommend this? If not, then any other scotch suggestions?

mom: new j. crew coat
sis #1 and bro: "in the company of friends", "legacy of ashes," "the company" (fellow espionage enthusiasts)
sis #2: $100 trader joe's card
nephew #1: $30, Minecraft Books 1-5 (he loves Minecraft but I want him to read)
nephew #2: $30, Robotics, Discover the Science of Building Your Own Robot (loves engineering stuff but also must read more)
niece: Tardigrade stuffed animal, a kid's book about tardigrades, a dinosaur encyclopedia (she loves dinosaurs)

in-laws:

nephew: nhl 2015 for his new xbox one c/o my bro-in-law and a hockey encyclopedia (he plays and loves hockey)
niece: a frozen doll as well (she loves frozen and you're right, they fly off the shelves), and a telescope (she loves astronomy)


it really is all a capitalist orgy but hey, I love my family and am a capitalist.

like crystallas, we are going to spend part of our break putting food packages together for starving children, although we are agnostics. The place sends the food to multiple countries.

that's one of the coolest presents I've seen. we had breakfast with my nephww the monday before christmas, and asked him what we he wanted. He said "Money and Hungry Man Pancakes". My lovely wife bought him some Hungry Man pancake mix and put cash inside the mix. When he got it, he was ecstatic. ****, she is the best.
