There is no curse, there is no strike zone advantage, Cubs were dominated by the better team.

certainly we didn't lose for the strike zone but all the edge calls have gone on the Mets side

While I agree that there was little advantage with the strike zone, there is a problem with it and it's been going on all year long. Worst overall job of calling balls & strikes in any season that I can remember...some changes are needed.

Umpires were awful with balls and strikes. I have a video from Ted Williams talking about the strike zone and having command of it as a hitter. He suggests that if a batter starts swinging at pitches 2 or 3 inches out of the zone, the batter will find that he is getting behind in counts and essentially the pitcher has the advantage. The umpires were doing that for the pitchers. Also the strike zone is too low. MLB needs to fix some things this off-season, including umpires like Cousy who are really bad behind the plate still getting their turn back there.

And on the topic of the OP, there is no curse. Even with the generous strike zones being called, Cubs pitching had trouble finding the zone.

There is no such thing as the curse of Bartman.

Hey, I'm proud of this team, they did more this year than any of us expected (any of us realistically). They beat the Cardinals and the Pirates. Couldn't be happier for these young guys, plus it makes me look forward to watching the team going forward. We always knew this team needed more, even with all the talent. Can't wait for Epstein's next moves.

By a sweep. But we forgot that Biff fucked up the timeline.

But then they fixed it, though the fix doesn't guarantee the timeline is 100% restore. So one little change could indeed have the Cubs losing in the NLCS. lol

Speaking as a Royals fan, you guys have nothing to be down about. You're in the same position I was last year - team went further than I dreamed they would, and I knew great things were still on the horizon. Not to mention your team is far more able to keep/get prime players because you're not small market. Keep your chin up, Chicago.

This team does what it does best. Make it to the big game once every 15 years and lose. It does t take a curse or a billy goat or a fan trying to catch a foul ball. It is what it is and what it will always be. If you want to be happy stop being a cub fan. It worked for me. The Bears are next on my list of teams that can go fuck their selves.

Good luck in the ws, hope your manager doesn't screw this up.
