A8... wife can use it and still has manuel option.

Cool man. The wife was driving a civic si before (m6) and chose the manual. I saw that the zl1/1le was faster around the ring than any production Ferrari.

I had a gen 2 sedan, too. Thing made gobs of power.

Pretty obvious why GM chose the 1 or 2 trim designation, instead of alphabetical.

I have a theory. If we confiscated all automatic vehicles in this nation, we would save more lives than if we confiscated all guns.

I've always drove manuals until my current marriage. I prefer stick, for having complete control over the engine. It's easier to speed in an automatic. Brakes last longer, transmissions last longer, I get better in town mileage when I want to, and I find that I'm more aware of everything around me, when I drive a manual.

And if I were to buy a performance car, it would have to be stick. I would not want it if it were automatic.

stick is not as quick as a paddle shifter with a sport transmission........


although probably funner to drive.......My Challenger has 8 speed sport transmission with paddle shifters and it is smoother than butter and quicker to shift than a "manuel"

Most sports cars that are automatic now have paddle shifters....it comes down to the transmission....a stock transmission is probably about as quick a manual shift vs paddle shifters....a sport or better tranny is fucking awesome.....

And yes you feel more connected to the road with a manual.

The GM sports auto trans have paddle and shift select.
You can select any of 8 gears... pull the shifter left then push forward or pull back.
It's just clutch free... however you can't beat the auto launch control out of the hole.
My Caddy had the same thing in a 6 speed.
I like it on the highway as you just leave it in 8th and roll by folks without any down shift.
Keeps the drive smooth and has plenty of power to pass.
The new ZL1 has a 10 speed which will begin going into other sports cars next year.
Keeps the car in the power band at all times.
The 8 speed gets pretty good MPG... although the motor switches to 4 cylinders when not under power in tour mode.

they seem to be having a renaissance right now......if I could bring myself to spend the money I would have gone for the Dodge Demon....800 HP is just ridiculous....that car holds the record for a production car doing a wheelie off the line.....

They are making so few would have to pay a crazy amount to secure one.

it isnt a single seater...that was a test version....although they might have a variant....it is the same size as a regular challenger, just with a ridiculous engine....

My bad. The passenger seat is optional.
With only 3000 being produced it will be a serious collector.
I would love to get one to store but could never win the bid.
The dealer markup will be insane since they will only get one.

This is based of course off articles.
Once you can build on the Dodge site all will be clear.
