88-89 Pacers lost 12, then won 4. So yeah. Bulls did set a new record under such criteria. IDK how a person would look this stuff up exactly to confirm the claim. I just remember this one because Dick Versace was poached off the Pistons and turned that Pacers team around pretty quick. One of the most under-rated assistants in NBA history IMO.

One idea, Bulls should probably play Mirotic as a starter till Trade deadline to build his value up and potentially gain a Draft pick from some Playoffs contender.

If you watch the games, Niko and Portis are playing like they have developed a very strong bond and friendship. Also a key reason why they are suddenly winning. It's likely that the animosity between Mirotic and the other players from a few months ago is no longer a division, but a growing pain that has brought players closer together.
aka: Fans who don't want to watch the scrap end of a rebuild may believe that the Bulls are going to trade Mirotic(or Portis) because of chemistry issues. When they are pretty much playing their best ball with each other on the court.
They were both genuinely laughing and smiling with each other. Making improv plays together, running to each other first to bump and hand out fives like best friends do. It's either a really good act, or like many humans, they become close friends after butting heads.
