I’d like to understand how on the final possession down 3, you send out a lineup that doesn’t include PWill in it?

Instead, Demar is out there and Coby is out there. BD is terrible
Yep.. pity the GM extended him. I think he'd be ripe for a firing at the end of the season otherwise.

The answer is generally "because you suck worse than that other team"

That held true in this case, though true to form the Bulls competed much better against a superior opponent
Very winnable game for them.

However their two best players were really good at turning it over.

And Idk what that final play was. Executed poorly by the players, perhaps drawn up poorly too.

Tons of turnovers for sure.

That said, ZL had a good game and his effort was A+. Finished with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists. Had 6 turnovers as well, which certainly hurts. But that’s a stat line that got Westbrook an MVP award lol

I did like that when Zach had missed a bunch of shots, he started creating via passing.

Honestly I missed most of his turnovers in this game, I was surprised he had 6. DeMar's were all easy to see.

On paper (as I did not watch the game), a high TO number in general makes sense given the elite perimeter defenders the Clippers have, but 14 combined from Demar and Zach is pretty impressively high even for that group of defenders.

Game totally appeared winnable, but given the Bulls suck this year in the clutch it is not surprising they found a way to lose

100%…I know he takes bad shots at times, but ZL truly does have a solid basketball IQ to know when and where to get the ball

I was shocked Billy had Caruso in for the inbound again.

Like that didn´t just failed miserably a couple of games ago, when the pass got tipped by the bigger defender.

Should have learned something from then and have a bigger player inbound the ball.
Derozan for example since he can´t shoot the three we needed, anyway...

Bulls win behind Ayo, Coby, and Drummond off the bench with big games

ZL with some steals and a nice block on Lamelo at the end to help secure the win

Drummond with another one of those ridiculous games where he gets a double double in like 10 minutes lol

I didn't watch the game, just looking at the box score that was one weird game.

It was definitely bizzaro Bulls. 44 bench points. Zach and Demar only took a combined 20 shots (and made like 7 of them?). Half of Demar's makes were 3s. Drummond actually got to play. Coby put up 20 points. Zach played defense. Bulls shot 39% from 3.

In exchange for all that though, had to sacrifice Caruso to injury and potentially Pat as well

I get that maybe there's some matchups where a smaller lineup with DJJ might work better, but seriously, Drummond should at least be getting some burn

Yep. There shouldn’t be any games where he’s a DNP-CD

Twas a good win.. for awhile I thought Lillard might go and outdo what Donovan Mitchell did, but the Bulls figured out how to trap him in the 4th, plus Lillard just kind of went cold in the 4th.

Bulls play a bad team tonight, who already beat them once this season. Be interesting to see if they can beat this bad team.

The struggling Grizz are next.
