For the record:

Pacers traded Paul George to OKC for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.

The Pacers later traded Oladipo as part of the 4-team James Harden trade that brought them Caris Levert.

Levret was traded for Ricky Rubio, a 2022 2nd that became Andrew Nembhard, and a 2023 1st, that became Ben Sheppard.

Sabonis was later traded along with Justin Holiday, Jeremy Lamb and a 2023 2nd for Haliburton, Hield, and Tristan Thompson.

OKC later traded Paul George to the Clippers in return for SGA, Gallinari, a 2021 1st (Tre Mann), 2022 1st (Jalen Williams), a 2023 1st (traded to Miami), 2024 1st (Dillon Jones), two 2025 1sts, and a 2026 1st.
Whoever wins should send Paul George a ring for his "contribution" lol

It is a very fair statement to say that the winner of this championship owes their success to Paul George lol

OKC dominates. Chet needs to score for them to hold on to their leads. He did alright last night. Guy needs to put on weight and get stronger.

A lot of chatter of KD and the Spurs. That's tough.
I'm kind of surprised at all the interest in KD. He's obviously an all-time great, but he's going to 37 at the start of the season. And while he's still a great scorer (mostly shooter nowadays), his teams haven't really done shit over the last few years and he hasn't been past the 2nd sound since he was with the Warriors two teams ago.

Spurs would be better off targeting Giannis.

Well presumably a team like the Spurs is basically just adding a guy to take the scoring pressure off Wemby, also maybe targeting a vet to mentor them as they're still quite young, similar to CP3. Obviously they'll both put up monster numbers anyway. Adding KD feels like a move that isn't necessarily a move that makes them a contender, but it does probably get them actually into the playoffs if Wemby and KD are relatively healthy.

Technically Giannis does give them more long term potential of contention, so certainly I get that point. Maybe KD seems more obtainable for less overall assets?

I've read reports, one quoting Giannis himself, that he will remain with the Bucks.

If Giannis goes anywhere but back to Milwaukee I'm going to imagine it's the Bulls Thunder.

Bulls denied NY request to speak to Donovan. The Bulls cherish his coaching acumen and ability to communicate throughout the org.

KD can still go and his defense is still good. The Spurs have so much capital. The 2nd and 14th pick this year. Players like Jeremy Schoen and Devin Vassal to dangle. KD isn't going to cost what the Nets paid. It also bring in the team leader with CP3 to coach Wemby while being able to win a ship and then letting it become his team.

They look like they are taking Dylan Harper who give flexibility to ship D Fox off and continue to build a contender for the next decade. KD makes a ton of sense because of where he is at in his career.

Translation: He’s a loser like us and is content with it.
