i doubt they would want PWIlls contract due to its length. swap him for Zach Collins expiring deal and that would likely be the best the bulls could offer.

coby
collins
matas
ayo

that works salary wise
Yeah fair enough if we're convinced the league is out on PWill then either Huerter or Collins can sub in for salary purposes, they all make about the same amount.

yeah, i just assume nobody wants to take on PWills 18 mil or so per year for the next 4 years

a team like the bucks in theory would be in rebuild mode if they trade giannis, which would mean they would likely prefer expiring contracts over albatross contracts

KC Johnson's quick take on a Giannis trade scenario, basically, he thinks the Bucks will ask for everything. Since Nico Harrison is not the Bucks GM, this seems like a reasonable thought at least to me

Along that line of thought, Vuc could be included as salary filler as a true expiring contract, but it's up to the Bucks to decide to what degree of expirings they would want back. Bulls are mostly loaded with young players (with experience, as AK likes to say) so not really a ton to do there with expirings without involving a 3rd team.

There is still perhaps an argument to be made that maybe a GM out there still believes in PWill, but certainly the value is rock bottom after his worst season ever. Even if a GM were to believe in him, the return coming back to the Bulls would be minimal. Of course, the likely scenario is that the only GM out there who has any shred of hope for PWill is AK himself.

As the Giannis rumors continue to swirl the teams that have supposedly been mentioned teams Giannis is interested in (grain of salt always with these) appear to be:
-Either LA team
-Either NY team
-Miami
-Maybe Houston or Chicago, kind of throw aways in the discussion

The rumors make sense to me because of course any big name must first consider the only markets that ESPN cares about (NY or LA), regardless of any actual viability of such a deal. Miami seems like a weird choice to me, but I'm sure players like the city so, sure.

Personally, I think the real dark horse teams to pull off a Giannis trade might be San Antonio or the aforementioned Houston. Both teams who are already primed for deep playoff runs in the coming years if Giannis is added to their team (yes Houston got bounced in the 1st, but it was a close series and they lack a true go to offensive player). A Wemby/Giannis/Fox trio would be absolutely absurd...ESPN would hate it so much. These teams have way more player and draft capital to offer the Bucks while simultaneously offering a winning situation so Giannis can win now (which I am sure is his only priority). OKC technically fits that bill too, that would be equally busted.

Chicago maybe has assets to compete in the bidding war, but doesn't offer the same winning upside as those other teams. But of course, multiple team trades could blow the whole thing up, and you never know these days. Maybe Rob Pelinka has blackmail on all these GMs and will make Giannis to LAL work somehow
