Thanks Ton that put a smile on my face. I think we all need some good positive sources in our lives right now. Won't lie...got a few tears in my eyes.

I've looked at this and the other Buzzfeed humanity restoring threads since yesterday. Very wonderful. We all know deep down that there are great people in the world, but it never hurts to be reminded.

Great post Ton but with all things good and as much as this was good there always comes the bad. If I was better at computers and bringing up links I would post that the cop who gave the homeless man shoes has decided to sue the cop. Go figure but it did make a story and I'm sure you can find it.

Don't really know why, but the pics of the blind kid cop got me a bit choked up.

8 pages of opinions on the school shooting......... I have not even looked or read any of it and don't care too.

In fact, I have hardly watched any of the news since it happened because I am tired of the sensationalism.

I would rather come here and look at Ton's link over and over and remind myself that there is much more good in this world then evil

although we are not reminded often enough of it.

2012 the best year ever

Good article about good things going on in the world despite the doom and gloom of politics and the media.

I haven't really gone through that thread either, it's too depressing.

That was an awesome read, it's nice to see some encouragement in a world where doom prevails as the top story each week.

Dont mean to be a debbie downer, but #25 on that list, I saw a follow up of it in November on a news program, that girl cheated on him and left him for another service member. I couldn't find anything on it online though dated beyond sept. I am positive it was that story.

Its a sad thread the one regarding Newtown. But very important discussions are happening it in and some real coming together as a message board community. Really only one flip out and that was my bad. It's horrible to have to have the discussion but it's really been a powerful one and has brought the board members together and hopefully it's doing the same out in the live moving world.

Anyways this thread here is great indeed.

As much as I do believe it's important to embrace the positive side of humanity ignoring problems doesn't solve them. Sometimes things that are difficult are painful, but necessary.
