We need to keep our veterans with expiring contracts and maybe add one more big name and we're set and could contend for a top spot in the East next season. :beerbang:

I read a rumor in my local paper that we might be losing Pappa to an overseas team :(

Ya, there were rumors about him going to FC Twente all season, he even mentioned it on his FaceBook.

Chaves had a good start and a good finish, I'm looking for a strong performance all season long from him.

Chaves could be a good keep for the bench if we can keep his wages low. MLS reported 42K, but I know he was making more and getting some 'perks'.

Biggest thing right now to be concerned about is who to protect for the expansion draft (November 23rd).

Training is the best way to see the guys and possibly meet them. Most are amenable as long as you are not all fan-boy on them and respectful of their time.

Ya, I might go one of the days... when there isn't another Chicago team playing.

Wolves count as minor league, and there was a period of time I seem to recall them being more successful than the Hawks.

Ya, but things changed when they allowed the Blackhawks to be on TV again. Now the Wolves are Vancouver Canucks affiliates so nobody really likes them anymore.

Getting Orr off of loan and on permanent, re-upping Gargan's contract, re-negotiating with Pavel, and examining Dom's case--although I don't really think he sees a more than nominal pay bump until after next season when he proves that 2011 was no fluke.

I still feel like we need a backup for Grazzini that can maestro the midfield as well. I wouldn't mind it at all if we made a run at Joel Lindpere--but he's naturally a different position than Grazzini---but I think he has similar vision.

We're fine on central defense. But we need a serviceable backup for Segares. Attention to right back would be good as well, since Kinney had yet to play a single minute last season, and we can't look at Logan Pause as a permanent cover for that position.

Last, and most importantly, we need to go after the coveted target striker. I hope they take their time and get this one right.
