I've kept in touch with him, and he got royally screwed by managment and ownership at Atlas in the FMF--so I know he wants to either go back home (Millionarios, where he will always be welcomed), or coming back to the states, where the competition puts him in the upper echelon (when he's in form), and where he still feels he has something to prove.
HOWEVER, that being said, I think he may well have burned bridges here--even if he has 'learned his lesson' from the previous episodes he had--if you're not familiar, he's had a few fairly public tantrums about going where he wants when he wants--i.e. following Osorio (his former coach), I think it may not work here in Chicago for him. LUCKILY, Chicago still owns his rights and we can either talk him into taking a pay cut and being here to help stabilize the backline as a 2nd stringer and posible starter in the rotation, or we can get some SERIOUS allocation cash out of a team that wants him. But to be fair, I'd rather pay just to keep him off of another squad--who want to line up on the other side of the ball against him?
not I.
