League wide issue thanks to the Texans & Browns giving fully guaranteed contracts to 2nd rounders. Think the Bears 3 2nd round picks are going to miss some Training Camp time? Have a feeling no agent is going to want to be the 1st one to give up a fully guaranteed contract now that 2 players have got it.

Of course the year we have 3 of these picks this happens. Bears should just pay them the guarantee it’s inevitable and they need to be in camp on time.

These team are arguing over what is basically like $1M/YR on guys who will be on the team

I'm guessing like 90% of these 2nd rounders see their full 4 years anyways.

I understand why they dont want to give in...because then the 3rd rounders next year are gonna start arguing they deserve it.

I do expect all these guys to start signing soon. No chance the entire leagues worth of 2nd rounders miss TC over what is peanuts in cap space

Unrelated but an early 2nd round player is already in position to make more career money than a late 1st round player. Have a little less money for 3/4 years instead of 4/5 years is not as significant as getting the 2nd contract 1 yr earlier for a similarly talented player.

Not blaming Bears/Poles on this one. Hard to foresee that the Browns & Texans were going to give a fully guaranteed contract to 2nd rounders for the first time in NFL History for some reason.
Browns are just a putrid organization that don't do background checks and overpaying players. Its unbelievable. Texans were one until the Watson trade saved their asses.

And they just extended the genius behind getting those 3 2nd round picks.

Duh Bears
I have a serious question for you: why do you continue to post as if you don't think the league is fixed?

You made a name for yourself here over the script and now you want to comment on things like you're surprised by this. Seems like either you were full of shit then, or are full of shit now.

Everybody in the Entire World: "The Bears need top end quality talent."

@zabavka: "Why didn't Poles know the Browns and Texans were going to do this before he got three second round picks?"

What's the difference?

According to you I'm full of shit either way, you're right and I'm insane, happy now?

I'm not going to say that the games are fixed but I do think they absolutely do announce things in the off-season in a fashion to maximize the attention of people.

Judkins just made things worse. He sits as the #4 second round pick and just got arrested for DV a few days ago. No way a team sign him with a DV charge hanging over him, those optics are horrible. ( Checks draft order) The Browns picked him? Nevermind.

I hear CLE is petitioning the league for a uniform waiver this season allowing ankle monitoring devices to be considered a standard part of their uniforms.
