So what happened to Hossa and <strike>Bickell</strike>? edit: I guess Bickell is just being benched for being shit.

Pens are getting clowned by the Hawks.

Great to watch the Hawks dominate this one. Nice games by Toews, Crow, Sharp, Kane, Hammer and Saad, among others. Hopefully, this sets us up for a strong finish down the stretch.

Handzeus must be happy that the weather conditions brought the play down to his level.

And I think I might have finally thawed out.

I'm hearing something happened to Hossa. Any idea? Couldn't tell, cause the visibility sucked. -.-

Crap, it must be his back again. I never saw him get hit hard or fall awkwardly, anyone notice anything that would cause an injury?

I read he was hit hard behind the net (didn't see it) and Q said, I'm paraphrasing, Hossa'd be out for a few games, he knew what the injury was, and it wasn't anything very serious. Pretty vague stuff.

I thought this game was really fun, even with the weather and it was nice for Crow to Shutout the paingens... The thing that bothered me watching it on tv was that they focused constantly on the weather and it became very distracting. Yeah we get it it's snowing we don't need to cut to Jim Cantore ever 5 minutes to have him say it's going to snow more. The pictures of the crowd in the cold is fine, but stop talking about it constantly. Stories about how it's like they were little only last so long. Just call the fucking game the players were having a blast look at the way Toews and Sharp jumped like little girls when they scored and all they could talk about was visibility. Every fucking outdoor game seems to have some sort of weather related issue if you don't want it to fucking happen then stop fucking scheduling them. Until then, acknowledge it, enjoy it and move the **** on.

Yeah and during the first period STFU about Fleury's helmet. Yes it is cool, we do not need to talk about it on 3 separate occasions

Yeah, what was with the slobbering over the steelers? Did NBC tell him that he had to try to make the game relevant to football fans already? Other than the stripe and the number it wasn't that big of deal unless I missed something. He make it sound like he was wearing a football helmet and replica jersey, the gold pads were nothing like anything steelers I remember... It's just sad how they throw all these gimmicks at a really great game and they instead of enjoying that game they fucking can't shutup about the gimmicks...

I disliked the first period of the game but after that I thought it was pretty fun to watch. I'm not a big fan of these outdoor games as far as watching on television so for me to even enjoy a single period says something but for me to enjoy 2 periods? I like the excuse some Pens fans were using after the game. "Pens were at a disadvantage having to play in that snow and cold". WHAT? There are always two teams on the ice and both have to deal with the same conditions. Hawks did it better..PERIOD!!

Guess those first periods of these games are all about the players feeling out the ice and the boards etc etc so they seem a bit uneventful. Obviously in the Hawks/Pens game there were bigger issues to deal with.

P.S. Hawks are the only home team to win a Heritage Classic/Outdoor game.
