Remember when Tarasenko was the new Ovechkin for the Blues?

Good times.

Low-blow Ton. That's not fair and you know it---that kid got rocked HARD in that hit and missed quite a few games as a result. He was right in the heat of things in the Top 3 at the time of the concussion.

Six points in his last 15 games, two of the three goals he scored in that time frame came lastgame... those are Bolland numbers! He was sucking the 10 games prior to his concussion anyway.

Gimme a break. Yes, he was underwhelming in the 10-gm span leading up to the concussion game but so? He'd performed so well out of the gate the first 8 or so gms his pts. were holding up. Should Saad be viewed now based on his first 10-gms (even though yes of course everyone knew he was working hard and looking great just not putting up numbers)? Players go through spurts and when you look at these Rookie leaders they all alternate having a game or two where they go scoreless (although Huberdeau less often because WTF it's the fucking Wild West side show with the Panthers and the hot mess they've been in as all FLA can bring to the table is some offense). And that's more than a little disingenuous of you to cite his pts. in his last 15 gms when 6 of the gms. are post-concussion and 9 are from pre-concussion. What matters is that he's been back for 6 gms. and has pts. in 3 of them---if anything this 4 pts in 6 GP tells me maybe he's rounding back into form.

Not to mention 10 games less than Saad he has 3 less points, and doesn't have a guy named Toews on his resume as his Center.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
nice to see Morin get one early, too.

Agreed. He looked a lot better out there than Hayes, IMHO.

All in all a pretty good game, but I think nashville will be a harder test tonight.
