Maybe just me but I'm seeing a cleaner, faster game thru out the league. Don't watch many Eastern games but at 25% into a regular season there are nowhere near the ugly hits and concussions that were rampant last season. Certainly less head hunting and even heard somebody say Torres had found a new religion.

Never a fan of Shanahan but it appears what he's doing is working. Good on BS.

Don't wanna ruin your view but its pretty much been the status quo to me.

Two weeks ago there were 11 pretty big name guys out with a concussion or concussion like symptoms. The suspensions are still being dished out weekly and there is a new ugly hit to talk about each night. The NHL needs a system change, because no matter what, if you are not gonna allow people to clutch for even a second there will be this huge concussion problem.

NBC needs to learn the definition of rivalry. Hawks and Avs NOT rivals.

2-1 after 40? Hawks are going to have to change up their offensive drives or they'll looking at the end of this thing.

Streak lives on. Hawks once again somehow get it done. Glad to see Carbomb getting the winner, 13th player on the team to do so. Bad news with having Hossa, Sharp and Shaw injured. Luckily it doesn't seem that Hossa was serious. Sharp and Shaw could well have consussions, especially Shaw who got a nasty uncalled elbow. I thought I saw him play a shift after the hit, but didn't appear in the third.

Emery with NHL record for best goalie start to season with 10 wins.

sharp is certainly not a concussion. if anything its a shoulder injury. hopefully hossa just has the flu even though the sports guys are fast to say "upper body injury". as for shaw? who the hell knows.

Hossa and Frolik are "probable" for friday...that sounds like flu

Sharp is "expected to miss time"..sounds like shoulder

Shaw "we will know more tomorrow"..that says test need to be done...could be concussion tests who the hell knows though.

Shaw got clocked pretty hard with the elbow, so a concussion isn't that far of. Hawks just seem to have plenty of concussions lately.

Sharp limped off clutching his right arm/side after a hard check into the boards. Shoulder or rib would be my guess.

Shaw got a cheap forearm shiv to the noggin.

The way Sharp was holding, rather, hanging his arm like that, looked like he had a dislocated upper body injury.

After being smashed up against the boards Sharp was hunched over as he was making his way back to the bench, which could be shoulder, rib or an arm injury, possibly broken wrist, but the way he was moving it looked like more than an arm or wrist injury. It definitely didn't look good but it was not a concussion IMHO.

I don't want to bring up the over used C word BUT, the elbow Shaw took to the head, and the way he left the ice after that did'nt look good. Milbury, like him or not, mentioned Shannahan taking a look at the elbow to Shaws head.

And I hate to be that guy who says this but im going to..the officiating was less than stellar this game. The elbow on Shaw...lots of interference missed on the Avs and hell Bolland slashing on Toews sh goal?

wasn't an officiating showcase tonight.

It was Shaw. Sharp has a shoulder problem, same with Hossa....

I suppose it does'nt matter but I wonder if its Hossa's surgically repaired shoulder, or the other one?
