The idea hit me last season with the extreme disappointment in R. Quinn. He sucks as an OLB, he can't cover anybody, and had 2 sacks. His TRUE position is DE in a 4-3. Then I thought the same about K. Mack. His best years were with the Raiders sack wise as a DE in a 4-3. I think his all balls out, super hustle, bull rush style of play is more suited for DE. Look at the DTs, Akiem and Goldman...wow...talk about possibly the best. So talk about the system matching the personnel. There is plenty of depth behind these guys too....Edwards, Bilal, and the new guys. The linebackers aren't as easy but MLB is Roquan with Trevathon and Ogletree on the outside. Plenty of depth too. Or, why don't they play both 4-3 and 3-4. Anyway that front seven looks good on paper, especially the d line....wondering how it would play out.
