Four men are accused of bailing out of a white stretch limousine and punching three people, breaking one man's jaw, in the Lakeview neighborhood as someone with the attackers recorded the beating, authorities said this morning.A Chicago police officer was slightly injured while arresting the men, officials said. The beating happened about 1:10 a.m. Sunday at Clark Street and Cornelia Avenue, just south of Wrigley Field, police said. Several people jumped out of a stretch limousine and started punching another group of people, according to Chicago News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien.

A 27-year-old man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with head injuries, including a broken jaw, police said. Two other men, 22 and 27, also were injured but were not taken to a hospital. The man with the broken jaw told police that three people came up to him and began punching him in the face, sending him to the ground, police said. The 22-year-old also was punched in the head by three men, he told police. The other 27-year-old was punched in the head and chest, police said.Arrested in the attack are Corry Simmons, 32, of the 1800 block of South Ridgeway Avenue; Donald Robinson Jr., 31, also of the 1800 block of South Ridgeway; Alvin L. Goffin, 32, of the 3600 block of South Rhodes Avenue; Edward E. Robinson, 31, of the 1800 block of South Springfield Avenue. Each were charged with felony mob action, police said.Simmons was also charged with aggravated battery and misdemeanor resisting arrest, and both Robinsons were charged with aggravated battery. The person who recorded the beating was with the attackers but was not arrested. Police said the other attackers either fled in the limousine or on foot.

My Saturday Night in Wrigleyville...

So I know there's a thread on Chicago Violence, but I happened to be a part of it on Saturday..

Me and some buddies decided to go bar hopping in Wrigleyville Saturday night. We left one bar and walked across the street to the other side of Clark Street. As we were walking a group of African Americans were walking past us yelling things at people. One of them decided to walk up to me and punch me in the right eye when I wasn't looking at him. I hit the ground for a second and got right up. I looked around and all I see is their group of friends running away and my friends chasing after them. A lady approached me and asked if I was okay, besides a sore eye and a scrap on my elbow I was fine. She said I did nothing wrong and that the man just walked up to me and cheap shotted me and proceeded to laugh about it. Then she said they all ran when my friend said something to them. I got up and found my friends along with about 10 mexican people yelling at these guys The group of guys that hit me then ran off before the cops got 4 of them. The cops did get the one that hit me.

The guy that hit me was a big guy about 6'3, 250 pounds from what my friends were telling me. Surprisngly I didn't have a black eye, but it's pretty red and sore.

I had to talk to the cops about everything. Apparently they were doing it all night long to people, and even broke a persons jaw. The article says there were 4 victims. I'm the 22 year old one. But we saw another guy get attacked and his face was busted up pretty bad. He didn't go to the cops for a reason I have no idea.

I thought Rockford was a rougher area. I guess they all moved to DeKalb? We have a few black guys in my softball league...they look the part of star athlete but they are all terrible. None of them can hit, and most of them can't field a routine fly ball. You start to understand why the % of black MLB players is going down.

Yeah, Rockford is a rougher area. Most of them spend their time downtown playing basketball lol.. DeKalb is getting rough, but I can't say that otherwise I'll be called a frat boy.

We have probably 3-4 in the leagues I play in. One kid I played against last year played in Low-A minor league ball. Fastest player I've seen in person.

DeKalb is a terrible town now. NIU is getting to be a dangerous campus...lots of violent crime.

We have a few guys in my softball league that played baseball in college or in the minors, and they are miles better than everyone else. Very impressive.
Is it getting worse? I haven't been there in about a year or two.

HA HAHA HAHA HA HAHA!

Zack is the "Ty Cobb" of his softball league. Cool.

LMAO.

I wasn't in the brawl. They were arguing with a group of people, and when I was walking down the street the guy just punched me lol. I didn't say one word to them.

Rockford used to be such a nice town, then the worst of the worst that got booted out of the city moved west.

Good to see that judge set high bonds, most people don't have 25-40K available.

Glad you're not injured.
