If the Bulls didn't get Anthony because they wouldn't give Noah, it's just one of the dumbest things this organization has done. And they've done many.

I like Noah, I wanted the Bulls to draft him when everyone else wanted Spencer Hawes. But Carmelo is one of the best players in the league. I have never been a big fan of his, but if we could get him for Noah that would be a great move.

Bulls better hope that Noah doesn't end up like Deng, Hinrich, Gordon. Where we thought there was another level - but there wasn't.

I agree. But I look at it like this as well. It also comes down to Noah agreeing to an extension to Denver as well and idk if he would do that. But right now hes being greedy so maybe he would. Idk if Melo was smart he would wait it out to try and convince Denver that he wants to go to the NYK or the Bulls or say screw you then you areant going to get anything for me. I hope the Bulls dont overpay Noah,it will be another Luol Deng scenario.

I don't think Noah should get too greedy either. 5 years at 12 mil per is a very fair contract for him. Big men always get paid more and I would expect Noah to get that. But I read something about him looking for 15 per. No, that's too much.

I agree. And to be honest him being greedy like this is making me dislike him more. Also he isnt worth 15 mil per year. I really hope the Bulls dont cave in on this.

Does that trade actually make NJ better? I don't think so. They lose Favors who will be good and maybe better, Harris has been down but still plays good. Then, they also lose at least 1 1st round pick. Den will win this deal by far in my opinion.

I agree.Denver is now even getting a better deal now than what we all have been talking about. And imo it is pointless for NJ to try and get Melo. Stick with what you have which is a young team that can maybe produce and can become a mini Thunder, what I mean by that is a team that did bad and can learn to start using the pieces you got and rebuild a youthful team that could maybe compete down the road.

Wow I can't believe that the Nets can't do better. To make this work they are essientially trading Harris for cap space.

The Nets are not doing anything if they make this trade.

The Nuggets, BY FAR, would get the better end of this deal.

Melo has apprved a trade to the NJ. I'm kind of surprise because this makes the Nets worse than better.

How can it possibly make them worse than last year?

He won't. That is obvious. But, Favors will be good for along time and will be way cheaper and I think Harris an Favors together will be good.

I agree but Melo and Lopez are top 5 at their postions and they have the rest of the team filled out with shooters. They will be in the mix with a 5-8 seed and still have max money next offseason to bring in another big time player. Melo helps them more than favors and harris next year anyway.

Also, the one thing that bugs me is, how can you trade a player you only saw in college and never saw play in the majors. That can be a major mistake is he plays like a STUD.

^^^Melo will get a max contract, right?
Right but they lose Harris and favors who make almost 14 mil next year and only add on about 4-5 mill to their 38 mill committed next year. Giving them about 15 mill. They will also probably move travis outlaw and save a few bucks there.

When I first heard about this I thought: "Ok Harris, Anthony, Lopez? Not a bad team, but their giving up Harris? Morons, No way this deal is going threw.

Nets would only make this trade if Anthony commits to resigning with them and that's not gonna happen. No Way. No How. I think we are still the front runners.. Deng/Gibson and a 1st rounder is what we are offering and It's not bad.

This deal is not going threw. If it does, the Nets are stupid. Because Melo is not resigning with them and their giving up Harris and Favors.

sadly i think that's the tragic nature of our organization. We're always on the cusp on being a great team, because of our inability to pull the trigger on big trades.
