bulls FO are idiots.
bulls FO are idiots.
Where has it been reported by a credible source that the Nuggets are holding out for Noah?
When I first heard about this I thought: "Ok Harris, Anthony, Lopez? Not a bad team, but their giving up Harris? Morons, No way this deal is going threw.
Nets would only make this trade if Anthony commits to resigning with them and that's not gonna happen. No Way. No How. I think we are still the front runners.. Deng/Gibson and a 1st rounder is what we are offering and It's not bad.
This deal is not going threw. If it does, the Nets are stupid. Because Melo is not resigning with them and their giving up Harris and Favors.
Has anyone ever thought that maybe Rose would rather have Noah than Melo. Through multiple reports this season sources have said he doesn't want other superstars and wants to be like Jordon
Rose has been quiet on this issue but I can tell, he will love to play with Melo. Melo will make him better and Rose's stats will rise. More than with Noah.
Noah doesnt demand the ball or shots to produce.
I dont know how good of a deal the Nuggets got. They got an unproven rookie, a streaky AK47 and a couple of picks. Eh?
The Bulls should go after Billups...he will be cheaper too.
Yeah, he just is incapable of producing offensively at a high level.
Obviously, not as high as Carmelo Anthony. But you gotta admit that he played great on both ends in that Cleveland series, last April.
Yes, he did. But that was one series...last year. Where was that over the 64 games he played last season? Last year he was 3rd among centers in rebounds, but he finished 19th among his league-wide counterparts in PPG, and that's after taking out the two guys ahead of him that played less than 50 games (Greg Oden and Anthony Tolliver). Even if we treat rebounding and scoring as equal-opportunity contributors towards winning (they aren't, scoring is more important [which is not to say that rebounding isn't important), you would have to stretch to make the case for him being in the top-10 in the league. Throw in a fudge factor for his defense and he's in the top-10 at his position....barely.
So then, here is a guy that we can safely assume is a top-10 player at his position, but only after he receives generous benefits from rebounding and defense, two things that aren't hard to find in the NBA. He's very good, but hardly elite or untouchable, and you unload him and a horrendous contract to get a top-10 NBA player every single day of the week and don't think twice about it. It's that simple.
I actually like this idea. If they could somehow trade Deng for Billups, I would be stoked. Billups would easily serve as the back-up PG and serve as mainly a SG for Chicago. He would make the Bulls one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the NBA... Unfortunately, even though they have Ty Lawson... I sincerely doubt Denver parts with Billups...
