What I was wrong about:

1) Mahomes would be a disaster. Way more INT's than TD's.
2) Packers would easily win the division with Rodgers back healthy.
3) Floyd would really breakout and be a defensive MVP candidate.

What I was really worried about:

1) The Mack trade would blow up in our face. He'd suddenly be injured all the time and make very little impact.
2) Bears would show improvement but not make the playoffs.

What I was right about:

1) Offense would for once look extremely different. Finally showing modern/unique schemes.
2) Defense would be top 10 or 5 in turnovers.
3) Cohen would flourish while Howard took a big step back.

Honorable mention:
1) As soon as the rumors really heated up that Mack might be traded - I had a gut feeling the Bears would end up getting him. Having "battered fan syndrome" I was worried he would turn to shit all of the sudden, but he has by far exceeded my expectations and quickly become one of my top 5 favorite players.

It’s a message board and just because you are a member doesn’t mean you need to respond to every OPs posts. Some people are more articulate and smarter than others. It’s ok if all members can’t keep up. Sorry I’m asking too much

As you will note, hardly anyone is doing 5 and 5. Therefore it is clearly chorish

Right:
  1. Bears would have a top 3 Defense
  2. Bears would win 10 or more games (pending)
  3. Bears would be in serious contention for playoffs & NFCN title
  4. Bears new O would develop slowly but be at least 15th in scoring/yards
  5. Bears D would start getting tons more turnovers

Wrong:
  1. Run game would continue to roll (or be average at worst)
  2. Bears would take out terrible teams incl. MIA & NYG
  3. Parkey would be reliable, even win a game or 2 if it came to it (MIA again)
  4. Fangio would coach full 4 quarter games (finally did vs Rams)
  5. Nothing else comes to mind ATM.

Nagy actually surpassed my expectations while I hoped for more by Mitch at this point. Not worried and while I'd feel more comfortable with more consistent & reliable dominance on both sides of the ball, no team is hugely unbeatable vs. Bears. #fortheloveofallthatisfooballstayheathy !!

Honestly I saw this improvement coming for a dozen reasons. Took a lot of shit by trying to make some points, but it was received as homerism.

Things I was right about :

Mahomes is a stud
Mitch would have his struggles but would be good.
The Bears would be good enough to win 9 games.
Cousins wasnt much of an upgrade
The Browns would win 5 games
Fuller would be pretty good and worth the money

Cant believe I was right on the last two.

Things I was wrong about:
The Eagles would win the East
The Giants offense would be really good
Vikings would win the division
Aaron Rodgers would end his charade and come out the closet.

Wrong is more fun
1) Bears will regret letting Cam go
2) Offense will lack focus with the current group of weapons and will struggle with consistency
3) Kwiatkowski is an above average ILB and will have a continued role.
4) Floyd will breakout
5) Bears will regret bringing Prince back over someone that occasionally gets INTs.

Cam who? ?

It was about the Bears, not the Chiefs.

Right

Trubisky was improving over his first 3 games
The Defense would get more INTs
The offense would be top 15 (points scored)
The defense would be top ten (points allowed)
Amos was not the best safety on this team despite what PFF said last year

Wrong

Predicted 9-7 as a ceiling (maybe, hopefully not)
Didn't think they would make playoffs
Minnesota would win division (probably wrong)

thats about it

Actually, the Bears are running for more yards per game than last year.....

Last year 111.8 yards per game with a 4.2 average 13 TDs.....16th in the league

this year 121.5 yards per game with a 4.2 average 11 TDs so far.....13th in the league

Bears fans aren't used to seeing a running QB and a committee running approach

Statistically they are better than last year, just not in the way Bears fans are used to.

Right:

1-Nagy would be boss
2-D would be better than last year
3-Cohen would continue to grow
4-Mitch would progress into about average
5-Offense would be fun to watch

Wrong:

1-8 wins max
2-Pack and Vikes would rule the division again
3-Shaheen would have a break out season
4-White would actually play and be decent
5-Jordan Howard would beast out

Right

1) Bears kicker would hit goal post 4 times in one game
2) Trubisky would have a 6 TD game against bucs
3) bears would beat rams 15 to 6
4) hub arkush would eat 3 hot dogs and 2 jumbo pretzels at half time against green bay at home (hasn't happened yet but received confirmation from various time traveling agents)
5) kevin white would catch a hail mary at the one yard line against new england

Wrong

1) bears would lose super bowl

Right:
1. Bears should aggressively pursue Mack and meet Raiders asking price of 2 first rounders.
2. Mack would allow Bears to compete for playoff spot while Trubs develops.
3. Floyd is not a double digit sack guy but decent enough as jack of all trades.
4. Thought Trubs should use his feet more and not be content to be a pocket passer.
5. Tarik Cohen is a beast and should be focal point of offense.

Wrong:
1. Thought Meredith was likely to have a good year in New Orleans.
2. Thought Nagy was a bit overrated when it came to play design and play calls.
3. Thought Trubs would be more accurate in the new offense than he has shown thus far.
4. Thought Howard would be more impactful in new offense given his improved hands.
5. Thought Smith was not the right pick at 8.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Central Florida Knights
  2. TCU Horned Frogs
I knew Jackson was going to have a great year.
I knew Cohen would be an excellent weapon in Nagy's system.
I felt RRH would take another step forward.
I knew Spartan's ridiculous call last week to take the Rams and give 14 would make me easy money if he had the Warrior Spirit needed to back his claim and take my offer of a 1k bet.
I knew Hicks would put together another monster effort.

Correct

1. I thought Nagy was the #1 available HC.
2. I new that Trubisky would get better over time.

Wrong

1. I thought Trubisky would have had a more steady ascent throughout the season.
2. The Bears would be an 8-8 team, they are too well coached.

Right:
The Bears would win the division
Mack was the missing piece the Bears D needed to dominate
Keeping Fangio was critical to this year's success
The Lions would take over the division basement
The Browns would win more than 4 games

Wrong:
Mahomes playing similar to Cutler because of his footwork
Tom Brady finally dying on the field
The Falcons not being abysmal
Howard getting more touches in the run game
Not having to worry about the kicking game with Parkey signing
