That actually wouldn't be a terrible idea Biz. It isn't as though you can just go out in the "hood" and practice at a range or anything; it's fairly likely that the first time any of these assholes take a shot is at another person. It really is baffling how often bystanders are hit.

Edit (reply to Zack): I just don't find anything that someone so self-centered (as Kanye obviously is) says to be relevant to anything but their own self interest, that includes lyrics (look at all the whining about relationships that Taylor Swift does). Nothing against your musical preferences or anything; I just don't believe that any word out of that dude's mouth is genuine in any way.

Guns are simply a by-product, I have a better idea...watch this documentary with former narcotics officers, judges, and prosecutors.

Then tell me why this nation and oppressed races have turned to gun violence...when it's actually the government creating the problems as it relates to the war on drugs feeding the violence in Chicago:

I'd rather watch a Kanye video (just one) than watch two hours of our fucked up drug problem in the hood. Can you imagine if booze was illegal? LOL.

I just lol at Taylor Swift. I can listen and get a message from kanye though. I think more people should, especially the ones that think this Chief Keef guy is so great, when he is at the center of a lot of problems in Chicago violence.

I agree with the fact that the "war on drugs" has dramatically increased drug associated violence. But, at the same time, being economically downtrodden or "racially oppressed" simply isn't truly correlative to violence without other factors that should be considered. Hell, my father grew up in an area where he still used an outhouse and had no electricity until he went to college (in the '60s); yet the fact that he and his community were (and are) absurdly poor did not lead to violence. There are still plenty of predominantly black communities in the south that are absurdly behind the rest of the country economically and technologically, yet they don't have the problems that many "better off" places do.

The true culprit is the breakdown of family and community at the most basic levels. If individuals treated/raised their children, their family, their neighbors, etc. in an appropriate manner the social breakdowns that lead to violence would be minimized (it isn't possible to eliminate it entirely). And, if a community as a whole were to stand up and refuse to allow the shenanigans that lead to this type of shit then they could better their situation. Eventually they have to realize that it's their own kids/cousins/nephews and such that are murdering their brethren; until they address that there is nothing that can be done from the outside.

Another Edit for Zack: I was just throwing out a name of another "musician" that bases his/her career off of self-serving bullshit. Who the **** is Chief Keef?

You should finish watching the film, Ronald Reagan had the same ideology at one point.

And he was as destructive as they come.

When the "war on drugs" started it was in answer to the weekly day light machinegun battles happening in major cities (Miami) every other week, and that shit was spreading all over the country rapidly. For anybody interested; read up on how bad the coke wars were.

The"war on drugs" was simply intended to be a Central American interdiction because the alternative was a "Chinese Opium" solution. Nobody here wanted that.

Bullshit,

Ronald Reagans' solution to funding the war in Central America after congress denied $$ was a direct war on LA's African-American community via the CIA introducing crack cocaine.

Some of his terrible policies don't necessarily negate his "ideology." If you were more specific I could argue/agree with individual points.

Had you bothered watching the documentary, you would not have not asked this....was already answered by former narcotics officers and judges.

Stop eating souls and pussy, b/c your government already had you for breakfast:

I'm not about to spend two hours of my life for someone else to make your argument for you Biz. If you don't want to express your own opinion and prefer to delegate that responsibility to other people you can be my guest, but I'm not going to engage in a debate with a third party.

I already knew that you wouldn't bother, you're too busy talking.

The drug war is directly related to inner city gun violence, and that documentary you refuse to watch would have shaken you to the core...it did me and I've ventured to the depths of human hell and back:

And yes, I'll keep posting it in hopes 1 person actually has the patience and common sense to view it.

That was a very well thought out and convincing argument...props to you sir. So how exactly are the rampant drug producing/using habits of rural America (see meth manufacturing/transport/use) not creating a similar amount of drug-related crime?

And yes, I've spent the last hour cooking dinner for my parents and chatting with them; sorry I was too busy talking to come up with a valid argument...oh...wait...

Edit: I have no problem with you or anything; but like I said, feel free to argue any points you'd like, but I can't respond to a two hour long documentary in which there are likely several valid points and just as many fallacies.

Duly noted, remind me to send you my hollandaise sauce recipe...with cream cheese.

Mom and dad will love it.

Your right, I should say that nobody inside the Reagan Admin wanted the Chinese solution, directly.

And for what it's worth, obviously crack was invented by coke heads that were running low on coke, and cash, but had a freebase pipe and some other shit laying around.

The best thing about cocaine? It ain't opium.
