Don’t need to read thread to believe poles sucks. A gm that doesn’t prioritize ol dl is destined to fail.
I think Poles' biggest issue, or one of them anyway, is that he's just too nice.

He wanted K.Mack to be happy to where he traded him when he got here so he traded him to the Chargers and rumors came out from some teams, i know the Raiders were one, that they didn't even get a chance to make an offer for him.

He wanted to make J.Fields happy so he traded him for a damn 6th round pick to the Steelers which is where Fields wanted to go.

He couldn't help himself from crying when he went to cut A.Colbert on Hard Knocks.

Took him way too long to get rid of players like Nate Davis and VJJ.

We don't know what rumor to believe about who's fault it was that Flus made it through last offseason and made it all the way to the Thanksgiving debacle before finally getting fired but wouldn't surprise me if poles was the one that kept him so long.

He's not going anywhere.

This is as bad as jurkos segment on espn 1000 today saying the bears have 5m in cap space and they need to cut braxton jones cause he's making 6m when he's on a rookie deal.

The same moron daniel made a thread saying to trade jaylon johnson when he has a giant guaranteed cap hit.

Mods really gotta start restricting certain posters abilities to start threads. By certain posters I mean mostly Double Chin Dan
You gotta love Jurko though. He's always coming out of his mouth with crazy shit.

I used to love him, now he barely watches football and spews nonsense out of his mouth. Its still funny when he says dumb shit but as far as actual football thoughts he's worthless at this point. Think the CTE has set in.

Ehh I doubt he'd get much more for the first two guys(Mack/Fields).

He certainly has issues parting ways with "his guys" that he brings in and gives them every chance to fail. Honestly surprised this has not happened with Tyler Scott.

I think he could of got more but the point was he sent both players where they wanted to go instead of sending them to whoever offers the most for them. That's an issue and his part of the job is the business not football when it comes to stuff like that.

Who knew that the Lions scout team is one of the best defensive fronts in the NFL?
Some people will write anything and some people will believe anything.
Hey @IBleedBearsBlood The Lions have 4 defensive linemen on IR and lost another 2 players to injury in the first half. That's six players from a four man front. As Robin mentioned Wright and Jones were facing scout team players. So the Tweet you quoted is a lie and you believed it.

Is anyone reading this? I’m not trying to be rude.
It's not so much the opinions as the lack of formatting/punctuation that makes it hard to parse.

My opinions...
  • QB: Set for the next year or two, until or unless Caleb shows he's a bust.
  • RB: Swift/Johnson is the duo thanks to the money invested in Swift. Third back is largely irrelevant.
  • WR: I think Allen will be gone, leaving Moore/Odunze as the alphas. I want to see more of Scott before we write him off but we'll need more depth here.
  • TE: Kmet is the guy, for better or worse. Everett is a fine backup if we want to keep him around.
  • OT: This is complicated. Braxton's PFF score this year is 75.5 with 78.6 in pass blocking. Wright's overall grade is 75.7. Those don't scream to be replaced but you wouldn't mind an upgrade, obviously. Just for reference, the Lions' vaunted line has Taylor Decker at LT with a 73.8 grade this year.
  • OG: After a bad start to the year, Jenkins' grade is 75.3. Pryor is right at 70, which is better than probably anyone here thought he would be but he's not an ideal starting guard considering he can play all over in relief. Need a new starting guard, two if we're not re-signing Jenkins.
  • C: Shelton's grade is nearly 70 after an abysmal start but I don't think anyone here will argue that getting someone better would be ideal.
  • DE: Sweat hasn't been what he was last year and I'm not sure how much it's due to the calf injury. Taylor started out the year on fire and cooled off considerably and isn't signed long-term anyway. Walker looks much more like the guy we hoped we were getting to start 2023 but he's still just a guy. Booker still looks like a project. We need another impact player here.
  • DT: Billings and Dexter are quality but there's hardly anything behind them. We need more depth here which could also be achieved by bringing in an impact player and relegating Billings/Dexter to less snaps.
  • LB: Edmunds' deal won't let us drop him before the end of 2025 and TJ Edwards is playing well. Sanborn is just there, quality guy though and backup middle linebacker. No immediate need.
  • CB: The most set position on the team with Johnson on the edge and Gordon at nickel both being near the top of their respective positions. Stevenson/Smith is enough at the opposite corner and there's tons of depth.
  • S: Brisker might be done which puts our safety situation in dire need of an upgrade since Byard is still a good player but on the downswing of his career.
  • P: Obviously set here.
  • K: Santos has become one of the worst kickers in the league despite his accuracy thanks to getting kicks blocked and having a weak leg. We could use an upgrade here.

On the contrary. I just posted what I saw on my twitter feed. People can take it how they want. I’m not stupid. I know how those two guys have played this year, when they are on the field.

Don’t assume things without knowing. I always post stuff from all social media, no matter what it is.

We really need to stop using PFF grades, particularly for OL and DL. Those grades are useless and not consistent. The same people arent even grading the same players week to week and its a stupid subjective scale they use.

Just use your eyes. Shelton is mediocre but you should upgrade that position a center is usually an easy fix but poles just neglects it. According to PFF shelton is like the 2nd best center in the NFL since week 5. We all know thats not close to true.

Braxton is much more difficult to upgrade but he's an average NFL left tackle. If you get the shot at the best tackle in this draft I think you gotta pull the trigger, maybe you can find a team to give up a 3rd for braxton.

Pff has always loved braxton. I think he's graded in the top 30 last year and this year again.

He's an average OL who has a clear weakness in his game(bull rush). I personally would kick t rex arms wright to right guard and flip braxton to the right tackle then draft one of the top 2 left tackles in the draft(Will Campbell, Kelvin Banks)

Wright has power but I never saw wtf poles did when he drafted him, guys feet are as slow as tev's and poles kicked tev inside
