Man the Dodgers really busy, getting Dotel. Funny how teams with money problems (Texas and Dodgers) making moves

The Rangers deserve some sort of an award for the way they handled trades this month. to get Cliff Lee and two nice pieces with literally no money is incredible

Few different people tweeted that Dunn not moving, so guess that is the end of that.

I'm rather disappointed. I imagine the Sox will be labeled as one of the losers at the trade deadline based on the targets we were pursuing and whiffing on all of them.

Keep in mind that a waiver deal could go down, specifically one involving Manny. Still I agree the White Sox needed another bat to compete with the big boys and they failed to do that.

Sox offered Jackson and Flowers, Nats wanted Jackson and Viciedo.

No deal. Too bad.

Now I don't have a very high opinion of Viciedo, I think he will be a good hitter but probably not a great one. I would have done that deal, but it would have hurt.

Viciedo is just going to be at best an average player imo. His defense is terrible and I don't see his bat being good enough to overshadow his hitting.

I think Viciedo ends up around a 20-25 homer guy with a .270-.285 ba/ .330 obp and high slugging. At first base that probably makes him league average or a little better, which is fine with good players at other positions. I think the league average OPS for a first baseman is in the low .800s, but I could be off on that.
