I heard it was based on this CCS posting from yesterday...

Rory, no offense, but you are as stupid as Laurence Holmes on 670. He thought it was dumb of Nagy to call timeout when the Dolphins had 4th down at the Bears 41 with 40 seconds to go in regulation. His quote (I am paraphrasing) from last night was "Why would you call timeout there? Let them try a long FG. Even if they make it, you end up with better field position to have Trubisky go down and score". Uhh, dumbass... If he doesn't call timeout, the Dolphins take the clock down to 3 seconds. If they make the 58 yard FG, the fucking game is over! Calling timeout makes them punt because they can't risk a miss on a low percentage kick with 40 seconds left on the clock. There is no risk of missing if it is the last fucking play.

I bet you thought the exact same thing as him, lol.

LH put up a video on Monday saying that he hears too many people saying Mitch is a future HoF'er (obviously hyperbole), and saying that just because he's critical of Mitch it doesn't mean that he thinks he's bad, or that he won't progress. LH also said that he was more impressed by Mitch's performance against Miami than he was Tampa. M&P replayed it yesterday, and apparently he was getting tweets that LH was directing it at him. So during transition they discussed it, and LH couldn't believe that Parkins thought that it was directed at him. Parkins apparently was pulling the audio and polling people as to who listened to it, and the last bit of the exchange went like this:
Holmes, "This is what you do, and you're successful at it."
Parkins, "Thanks, that sounds really genuine."

I'm not sure he's making it up, just using awful hyperbole. You see it here that any criticism of Mitch after these last two games gets you flamed. Beyond that, I think he was speaking more for Goff, because Holmes was using the same hyperbole that Goff was using on twitter when he was back and forth with fans.

It's clear that Holmes doesn't like Parkins, but not sure why he used this as a means to go after him.

If I was a mod at WSCR Holmes would be getting a two week vacation. I listened to the entire M&P show and I never heard Parkins call out Holmes. They used the audio for a segment they did that I found extremely interesting. If Holmes didn't like them using it he shouldn't have made the video public.

And then he continued going after Parkins after he was off air which is entirely unacceptable.

1. Parkins thought and was wondering if Holmes was calling him out. It's not Holmes' fault that Parkins misinterpreted things.

-Parkins I think opens the conversation great asking Holmes who he is addressing his "hyperbole" at in regards to Holmes saying there are people out there saying Trubisky is the GOAT or a HOF'er. He's trying to establish where Holmes is hearing these things from(Twitter/Textline or analysts)

-Holmes response makes no sense based on his assertion Parkins asked him to addressed. Holmes is basically saying he gets attacked by people if he says Trubisky did something badly or poorly or critiques him.

-Parkins then says he finds it interesting because he finds more negative feedback on Trubisky than positive. He says he sees fans citing they traded up for the wrong guy, etc etc. Holmes says it doesn't happen on his show.

-Holmes then talks about how there is no nuance in the conversation.

-Parkins then basically says "Ok, I was confused. You were talking about feedback from fans tweeting etc and not analysts and echoing Halas Hall"(Which I can see)

-Holmes then gets kinda pissy and says "I don't see how you could take it that way/Was I taking a shot at someone in media(?!Srsly what the hell Holmes...)" When he could have just said "Oh, ok got ya. I'm just talking about meatball fans" Parkins clarifies that he interpreted the video as being about media as well..Holmes then becomes an even bigger asshole and just says "Well, then you interpreted it wrong."....JUST SAY "No man, no big deal. Was talking about meatball fans. We're good."

Holmes is such a bitter little **** ever since Goff got fired.

-Parkins immediately tries to de-escalate the situation. "It doesn't have to so confrontational. Was just asking..in a friendly tone.

-Holmes "I don't get you sometimes man..this is what you are on today?"...Parkins "It's just a sports conversation"........Then Holmes jumps on him for it being a centerpiece of their show? Huh? It was a lead in out of a break 90 minutes ago that they left and picked up when you came in.

Holmes then suggest Parkins should have texted him for clarification rather than being critical of him..when Parkins was never critical..Mac backs him up. Holmes is so angry..for a reason I still can't understand.

Holmes seems ok for like 5 seconds then "This is what you do...you do all the behind the scenes stuff about it...then you throw it on the air..and then bring it to me" HUH?!

Holmes is now pissed because apparently he was on the CCS discord channel or something and heard Parkins was "polling" people when Parkins asked two people why they tweeted the video at him.

Holmes then is bagging on Parkins for the way he plans his show(when Holmes shows are terrible) basically bashing him for using Holmes video as content for their show. Holmes then somehow thinks Parkins is taking it as a personal shot at him(Parkins)...HUH?!

Holmes "You could have asked me for clarification if you weren't sure."...Uhh they are...on the radio...right now...Holmes then goes back to Parkins thinking it's about him(the retweets...) WHAT?!?!

Holmes is so bitter about not getting the afternoon slot. That's so clear by his shot about Parkins "doing what he does and being really successful at it". Parkins then points out Holmes uses Mac and Parkins content and doesn't ask them first.
