The Good:

Keith with a Norris-level performance last night (arguably his 1st since winning said Norris).

Hossa still playing like a beast and if not denting the twine, getting enough good chances and creating enough good chances that the defendewrs cannot ignor him at all

Crawford looked damned solid last night.

The Bad:

Our in-zone D-coverage is still weak. Aside from Keith last night, most of our guys need to take Defending In Your Zone 101 again. We gave up far too many chances.

Stalberg with the Bone-headed play of the year. Yes., the ref missed a blatant High Stick, yes, you hould have apealed to him...but STAY IN THE ISHTAR-FORSAKEN PLAY!!!!!!

The Ugly:

Ryan Kessler. He has a face only a mother could loathe.

~~~~~~~~~
All in all I think we're equal with the Canucks this year--Each was embarassed at home by the other and on the receving end of a 4-goal deficit loss. I think the next two will be a little it closer and a bit more chippy.
Boneheaded play of the year? Was there any goal scored on the play?
Was it more boneheaded then when Bolland broke his stick in OT vs Tampa...with the puck still in his own zone, he left to get a stick when Vinny/St.Louis were on the ice to score/win the game?
Nah...
More bone-headed than Keith's pass to the Canuck player for the short hand break away. At least Stalberg had four other teammates to bail him out.
If that would have happened to LOU , you would have herd them crying.
Crying...he would have been sprawled prone in the crease. The rest of the Canucks would be pushing the Hawks around trying to start something by pushing Hawks on their own goalie.
PMXC/Nephew:
Yes, IMHO Stalberg's gaffe was worse. Bolland and Keith never stopped playing hockey while the puck was in play. Yes, Keith's pass was bad. Yes, Bolland's descsion to go for a new stick right then was bad. Stalberg didn't follow one of the most basic rules of hockey (you play until the whistle blows) to pull an Alain Vigneault and complain to the fucking ref...WHILE THE PUCK WAS STILL IN PLAY.
So you think Ryan Kesler is good looking?
Nah, Manon Rheaume was the only hockey player i grease the crease with...
I propable should have worded it, "he has a face *even* a mother would loathe."
I knew what you meant in both instances.
