The Blackhawks need a slump buster and hopefully they will find it when they take on the lowly Blue Jackets. The Blue Jackets will be performing for their new coach after the dismissal of Arniel, so let’s hope the Blackhawks give the new coach, Richards a rude debut. The Blackhawks will come into this game without Sharp due to an upper body injury; the injury has landed Sharp on IR for 3 to 4 weeks; Ben Smith has been recalled to replace Sharp in the Blackhawks' lineup.

I will be very angry if the mess this one up. This is a statement game, I don't care if it's the worst team in the league, but they need to win in a convincing fashion.

I am going to be bold and say that the PP will suddenly work this game.

For some reason I really really have started to hate the worthless POS Blue Jackets. And normally this would be just the kind of bounce back game that I think the hawks would use to get the mojo back, but I'm afriad the team will response to the coaching move and play above their heads. IF we play their backup goalie, it's all over. I don't even want to make a prediction for this one, becasue I fear it's going to be 5 in a row.

I think Sharpton could make a whole new post on just "who's not"

This New Years slump seems like it is becoming a habit every season. The West is a tight race. If this loosing streak extends a few more games they could be out of the top 8.

Our "core" needs to step it up, and the supporting cast needs to contribute as well.

I have faith they will straighten it oot.

Any time the hawks get a vacation they always seem to play like ass for a few games and then go on a tear.

I got a feeling we the Hawks are going to lose.

Continue this rotten play and bad luck until Stan does his job.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I'm not getting a warm feeling in the cockles of my heart about this either, but this is a team we should beat. Even without Sharp we have offense to spare.

If our boys don't step it up I think it's indicitive of a larger problem.

Yeah, no kidding. I always dread when the Hawks face a backup goalie, they always seem to shine and stop everything thrown their way. It's weird.

Ok, so the lowly Ducks beat these guys 7-4 the other night, yet we're all afraid of these guys.... I'm more afraid of how we play than of the opponent. Sad, isn't it? We should beat these guys, but we always play down to their level... We should get 10 or so goals in this game, but it won't happen....

I see a win this time around, but in overtime per usual.

I'll be in attendance tonight, don't know why the sky is falling here at IHN. We beat the hell out of the Wangs in many ways and came up short on a lot of very questionable calls, still got a point. Crawford had a damn good game IMO, the Leddy crosscheck was something that was just mindboggling, I expect a W tonight.

Im going to say this, and im 100% correct every time I predict this.......I predict which ever team scores the most goals wins. Bank on it.

I wouldn't say that people are running all chicken little over here, but they definately have been struggling, without many signs of figuring things out and turning it around. To me the best way to jump a rut like this is to play hard, work hard, and get some consistency going but we all know Q won't let that happen so it will probably come down to Toews or Kane just sitting everyone else on the bench while they go out there and get it done. The reason why people are down right now, and justifiably, is that they haven't even looked all that great while struggling and now Sharpie is out which i think will be as big a loss as anyone on this team. This game is going to be full of juggling while Q tries to find what works, let's hope that happens early so they have a chance.
