Maybe playing Vancouver brings out the playoff Corey. The way he played tonight reminded me of him in the playoffs.

during Crow's cold streak a good friend of mine (die hard nucks fan) always joked that he would let in 5 goals and get pulled in the two games before playing Vancouver, then steal a 50 save shutout to beat the Nucks.

Craw was good again tonight. Good call on his body language after the hanson goal. He did shrug it off and it wasnt good positioning on the shot. He could have let it get to him but he really played well after it. Great posituoning all night a couple rough rebounds but every goalie gives a few a game. Some of his rebound control was awsome he almost got an assist at one point whe he directed a rebound up the left wing boards creating a good outlet.

Another great save was in the third off a faceoff in our zone. Quick reaction kicking out his left pad. Followed that up with another great save.

God damn i hope this can keep up hes a great goalie when he is settled.

Speaking of deflections, Shaw's been doing a great job of deflecting and tipping in goals past opposing netminders.

To be honest, I wouldn't really read much into his goal total. Half his goals haven't even been with his stick, but I guess lucky is still good.

Personally I thought Craw looked awkward tonight, I mentioned it to my wife that he does not seem to be quite there. None-the-less he did not let another in. I will admit I was not really confident in the third. He did come through, great job in the end Craw!

I would.

Shaw goes to the tough places (that other players twice his size avoid) - in front of the net where he's gonna get knocked down - but where the gritty, greasy goals are scored by, tipped in by, go in off of, or luckily bounce in off players (however you want to describe it) willing to suffer the punishment it takes to be where you need to be in order to score these goals. The closer you are to the net, the likelier a puck deflected off of you - or your stick
<
- is likely to go in.

Ryan Smyth has 1000 30 goal seasons because of that.

Yep!

Smyth's been around forever, too, but didn't realize it was 1,000 30 goal seasons.

Great chippy game by two teams that hate each other. The dirty hit by Keith made it so much juicier and the win in OT even better. Canucks are cheap, dirty, classless cowards, something that's always been established and they just further confirmed it in this game. Sedin might have deserved the cheapshot, but it still doesn't make it right. However, it's a positive that it showed again that the Hawks can still fluster these mental midgets, even if they say they've "slayed the dragon". The Hawks are still comfortably in their heads and can wreak havoc if need be. The abysmal PP is the reason this was not already settled in regulation, could have put this game away when the Canucks were too busy running after Keith, but that was not the case. After Crawford letting in that easy first shot, he stood tall, especially in the third and OT. Good win and the challenge level will rise even more with Krüger most likely injured and Keith suspended. If they can overcome that they are in a good place as the playoffs draw nearer.

Pat Foley is a complete and total idiot, by the way. Probably his worst game as an announcer. He must have fucked up player's names 20 times this game, and even said Luongo when Crawford made a big save... He also said "now the Hawks are tied with Detroit" failing to notice that Detroit lost in OT... The more he announces, the worse he gets.

Yeah a goal or two on the PP woulda helped, BUT, they still probably would've tried to run us. When Burrows, Bieksa, Kesler lose it, they get outta control. They'll never win the Cup. Way too undisciplined and assholish (much more than RK).

What ever Kieth Gets, Sedin should get but you know Shanny....never will that happen. I agree with you today guys he will get suspended but if Sedin is out a long time itssss so worth it. Now if someone else can do the same to Burrows. Fucken Hacking Cunts. An Ice pick is what I wish I can stab in Burrow's right eye, then take it out and stab in his vag, then pull is out and stick it in his ass, then pull it out and have the sisters lick it together.

Sorry for that graphic sense.

Some of the fan comments under the TSN article are ridiculous.

"I'm not a Canuck fan but Keith should get suspended for the playoffs and 2012-13 and the league should crack down on all the cheap shots the Canucks seem to be the victim off."

That one takes the cake.

I hope AV used a surrogate ISN for that comment.

Why even lie about that? He made it pretty obvious in his next statements that he is.
