One word describes this game: Embarassing.
It looked to me that only Kane, Kruger, Carcillo, and Meyers showed *any* heart in this matchup (but maybe not brains--and yes, I'm excluding Frolik because yes, his goal was nice and exposed Lou, but it was more flukey than flashy or grinding it out like Kruger's). The Team that showed up looked like the same team that showed up in Carolina (except Crawfords post-to-post looked atrocious). I don't think anyone from Q on down gets a pass on this. Yes, teams will sometimes play really bad; it's expected over 82 games. But unless there was a flu-excuse there was no reason the entrire team shouldn't have been fired up for this one, and they got folded like lawn furniture against a Vancouver team that, judging by the play, they should have been able to beat because vancouver was doing nothing more than just out-working us like they wanted it more.
Our vaunted PK was still in Florida, apparently, our PP completely sucks donkey dick, and after it was patently obvious that Vancouver was going to light us up when we were shorthanded, we still took dumb penalties. Further, Q just looked pissed, but not animated.
If the next practice is not a bag skate I'll be dissapointed. It was a team loss against an opponent we should have been fired up to play hard against, and we failed. No passion, no intensity, no brains. I hope this is a wake-up call and the team feels embarrassed for the performance they gave.
