Solid win. Not a whole lot to say about this one.

Drew Doughty looks out of shape. Not nearly the skater he was two or three years ago because of it.

man i was thinking the same thing. i watch a lot of kings games...rusty isn't the word for it.

Wasn't the Kings supposed to be a force this year with all the youth and the addition of Richards and Gagne?

Stalberg isnt the issue even if some who change favorite player every 10 min seams to think that. As long as he brings speed to that line im ok with it for that cap hit, if Bickell wasnt so bad for the moment he might do a better job there. The problem before has been Craw and our 3rd line and im so glad to see both Crawford and our bottom 6 forward play as they did here. Just hope Q keep these line for some games now. Scott, Carcillo and Bickell kan rotate.

Or just keep #7 healty...

Can't quite put my finger on it either, they always have the talent... they don't have a terrible record, maybe it's just a matter of catching fire?

Kopitar, Richards, Brown, Williams, Gagne, Penner up front (not bad secondary players either: Stoll, Hunter, Moreau), not to mention Doughty, Johnson, Mitchell and soon to be Voynov on the back-end with Quick/Bernier as a combo in net... the talent is there.

Terry Murray the next coach out?

Good post, agreed on all points. I'm starting to like Bruno on the 3rd line though. Also, I feel like Frolik is just never going to get going... when is he going to wake up? 9th in scoring for forwards on the team (14th overall) minus-5 (3rd worst on the team).... Other than Bickell, I have to say Frolik has been a major disappointment. I'm confident in saying Olesz might be just as effective taking his minutes, not saying I want that but just shows how confident I am in him and Bickell lately.

L.A. didn't play their best game of the season. They have slumped a bit but I wouldn't count them out just yet. They need to tweek their blueline a little (another body would help and Doughty needs to get the Duncan Keith out of his game). Penner has been a little under achieving also.

Biggest issue with L.A. though? They haven't been getting any depth scoring. Their 3rd line has been dreadful bad. Stoll is not the guy for that line anymore. Probably the worst 3rd line in hockey at the moment. They would do well trying to make a move for a new body for their 3rd line. Not sure who that is though and what they can afford. A guy like Brouwer would have been a great fit there on their 3rd line.

I too have always had issues with how Terry coaches that team. He isn't a great goalie coach (makes some dreadful decisions with leaving goalies in too long) and I don't think he coaches a very good defensive system there.

There are some issues in L.A. I think they could be easy fix solutions though. I still say they will be tough team to beat in the playoffs when we get there. I wouldn't count them out just yet. Quick can be a game changer.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Re: Staberg:

I look at that atempt as if anyone else on the team would have been in that position to make the shot, and if the same outcome happened, what would the fans' reactions be?

Scott, in that position (would need a teleporter since even rocket skates wouldn't get him there fast enough) would still get all of us looking to the bleak heavens wondering how in the name of Zeus' BUTTHOLE did he miss it. Yes, eveyone flubbs pucks now and then and Stalbergs had a good game regardless, but you know all he wants for X-mas is for that chance back.

And no, Stalberg is not the problem. He found a place where he fits without being a liability. We just need to cure Bickell of his Buff-itis. He can't show up every 4 games and he needs to play like someone just eviscerated his bunny.
