<em class='bbc'>EDITORS NOTE — The Chicago Blackhawks traded Dave Bolland to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a 2nd and 4th round selection in 2013, as well as a 4th round selection in 2014.[/i]

Like him or not he was part of 2 Blackhawk Stanley Cups and other success including a Cup winning goal. He took a step back with his on going back problems.

Now off to the Leafs which was a good move by Stan for the picks he got back and the cap space he cleared up.

I for one was happy overall with his time as a Hawk and he left some lasting memories. Struggled this season for sure and just couldn't get his game up to take that #2 center job as some of us thought he would be able to do.

I'll always respect Bolly and he will always be a Hawk in my books. Good luck in Toronto Dave, I'm sure you will fit in there well and I hope you can further your career and that back holds up.

No one loves the Bolland but everyone loves Frolik? so be it. I'll still love the memories Bolly gave me. The anti-Sedin..the rat. </p>

 </p>

Guess Bolland leaves Chicago with a broken hart along with his shit faceoff percentage. :icon-sad:</p>

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I loved the Bolland too, but I saw the writing on the wall when he wasn't able to take on #2C duties.  I wish him luck with Toronto and will miss what he did bring.</p>

Look for Kruger to get those 2nd line  minutes and maybe Pirri or LeBlanc to inherit Bolland's spot on 3rd line.</p>

Bolland's lack of health over past 18 months in addition to younger and less expensive players on the horizon made this an easy move.</p>

His trade value was never going to be this high ever again.</p>

Pirri IMO is going to be given that 2nd line spot.  He's more skilled than Leblanc or Kruger and he would be playing with Hossa or Kane. </p>

 </p>

Kruger or Shaw will center the 3rd line IMO.</p>

I will always love Bolland for marking up my Towes jersey while signing his jersey off his back in the last home game of the 09-10 season. Oh and Soupy and Keith marked it up in Helsinki. Then again Toews marked up that jersey before he even signed it in his rookie season.

Seriously though, Bolland will be missed, but he was a shell of himself the last two seasons, and really after the early back injuries in his career.

Please god no. We tried the Kruger on the 2nd line before, he didnt really produce. He's great on the 3rd/4th line leave him there. As for Bolly, I knew it was coming, he never reached his potential, you seen glimpses of it but he never stayed there. I was a fan but even I accepted it was time for him to go.</p>

You must have missed the games where Kruger centered Sharp and Kane and they were our best line "by a mile."</p>

Got good return for the Rat (picks,the ability to sign Bickell, and good cap room).   I'm okay with it.   My favorite Bolland game was his hattrick against the Laffs 3-4 years ago to tie and then win the game.</p>

 </p>

Good luck as a Laff Rat.</p>

At least he is getting a chance to play for his home team, I think he will do well there. Definitely will remember Bolland fondly.

Bolland was a fine player, he was gold in the 2010 Cup run and looked to have found some of that mojo towards the end of this years final round. That said, there is a glut of young players waiting to get spots on the big team and the cap situation made this necessary. Bolly will always be part of the 2010 & 2013 Blackhawk champions. Good luck and enjoy playing for your home team.
